Murthy spoke on 70-hour work week
Former Infosys CEO Narayana Murthy initiated a conversation about work-life balance when he commented on the work productivity of the country in a podcast. While speaking with former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai, Murthy emphasized the importance of the youth working a minimum of 70 hours a week to enhance the country’s work productivity. According to him, this is crucial for maintaining competitiveness with nations such as China and Japan.
In his discussion with Mohandas Pai, Murthy stated, “If we want to compete with the fastest growing countries like China and Japan, we need to boost up our work productivity. At the moment, India’s work productivity is very low. The government also must reduce the time it takes for decision-making and curb corruption in bureaucracy.”
He further emphasized, “Our youngsters need to work for at least 70 hours a week.”

I guess someone first has to get him to work. To work on something. Than to “work on himself” as Ananya Pandey said. 😀https://t.co/0qu0e0S1Dy
