What actually happened?

After exclusion from the company’s WhatsApp group, an employee resorted to physical assault on the boss before the staff. The assailant further vandalized the office and inflicted damage upon the boss’ iPhone.

Following an altercation at Insta Go Pvt. Ltd.’s office in Pune on December 1, an FIR has been filed against 31-year-old employee Satyam Shingvi. The incident occurred between 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm, leading company owner Amol Seshrao Dhoble to file a complaint at Chandan Nagar Police Station. The police have charged Shingvi with offenses under IPC sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 427 (mischief causing damage). Additionally, the Maharashtra Police Act has been invoked. Investigations are underway to ascertain the full extent of the incident and establish a legal course of action.

According to police records, Satyam Shingvi had faced numerous customer complaints, raising concerns about his conduct. Despite efforts to address the issues by reaching out to Shingvi, there was no response. Consequently, Amol Seshrao Dhoble opted to remove Shingvi from the company’s WhatsApp group. In retaliation, fueled by anger, Shingvi confronted Dhoble at the office, seeking an explanation for his removal. Armed with a bamboo stick, he entered Dhoble’s office, physically assaulting him and causing damage to Dhoble’s iPhone.
