The well-known YouTuber, CarryMinati, whose real name is Ajey Nagar, often hits the headlines for creating parody videos where he humorously mocks influential people, including motivational speakers. He’s taken on various targets in the past, roasting YouTubers like Flying Beast (Gaurav Taneja), Armaan Malik, Technical Guruji, and more. He even ventured into roasting the contestants of Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss. However, his recent video, where he used offensive language for the audience of motivational speaker Sandeep Maheshwari, didn’t sit well with the latter, who promptly called him out.
Sandeep Maheshwari reacts on CarryMinati ’s video
Watching someone imitate another person is enjoyable at first, but it becomes annoying when it goes too far and is overdone. CarryMinati’s parody video has stopped being amusing and now seems more disrespectful. The situation took a nasty turn for the YouTuber when, in his latest video, he not only imitated the well-known motivational speaker Sandeep Maheshwari but also used offensive language for his audience, which didn’t sit well with them.
For those unfamiliar, Sandeep Maheshwari is not just a successful entrepreneur but also a guide, mentor, and a role model for the youth. He gained admiration by simplifying life through his free YouTube videos, especially breaking down the ‘Law of Attraction’ in an understandable way. Sandeep Maheshwari didn’t appreciate the way CarryMinati teased him, and he expressed his displeasure by writing a post on the YouTube forum.
He wrote: “Dear CarryMinati, you made a parody video on me. That’s cool, but while imitating my character, you said m***** and c****** to my audience. It is not funny. Disappointed.”
CarryMinati revert back on Sandeep Maheshwari’s post
CarryMinati quickly explained and said sorry to Sandeep Maheshwari. He mentioned that they resolved the issue, and he edited his video to remove parts that seemed disrespectful to the motivational speaker. An excerpt from his message goes like this:
“We had a call with Sandeep sir and we have removed all the segments he requested and likewise, he has also removed his community post. I have a lot of respect for Sandeep sir and each individual from whom our characters are inspired. Our intention is never to hurt anyone’s sentiments for eg. you might feel Ankit bhai is shown in a bad light but if you watch carefully we are imitating the people who try to be like Ankit bhai but not him exactly so please do not spread hate towards anyone saare apne hee log hai, parody video means picking characteristics of certain individuals who are popular at the time & doing things they won’t normally do. It is just for fun, thank you. 🙏🏻 ”
Flying beast Gaurav Taneja was also got upset with him
Following CarryMinati ‘s roast on Gaurav Taneja, Gaurav responded on Twitter, addressing fans who asked if he knew about the video. Gaurav clarified that CarryMinati didn’t ask for his permission, and he would respond soon. Gaurav also noted that people change for content.
His tweet read: “For people asking.. NO @CarryMinati did not ask my permission before making that video. Jab khud ke “content cycle” pe baat aati hai, to har koi fisal jata hai. . My Reply coming tomorrow (20 July) 5PM.”
