Amidst growing security concerns on the borders, India is currently indulged in a glaring face-off with China. Well, China is one of the most formidable military nations of the world, but India was never far behind. Indian Army chose to implement one of the most stringent decisions to ensure the least spillage of data through social media apps.
These apps will be very much available for civilians. However, the embargo will be applicable in case of the army personnel. Amongst the apps facing a ban, there are significant names like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok and more.
This massive decision is to be implemented by the Indian Army and the final date to get things sorted will be 15th July. Any personnel, plying their trade for the Indian Army and using these apps will be dealt with in the most stringent ways. Army has claimed that spies from other nations tend to honey-trap soldiers by creating fake accounts and ascertaining crucial information.
Several people hail this decision as quite an imperative one in the wake of recent tensions between India and its continental counterparts, Pakistan and China.
