Recently, Indian broadcasters showing the LIVE telecast of the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics also came under radar. While telecasting the Olympics opening ceremony, the camera focused more on Sports Minister Anurag Thakur instead of the Indian contingent. This did not go well with the netizens, and they highly criticized it. People called out the broadcasters for allowing the minister to hog the spotlight that was supposed to be at sportspersons representing India at the event. With that, Thakur had also started trending on Twitter.
