Bollywood is known as one of the biggest movies industry in the world. And, music plays a huge part in it. There have been many legendary singers and music composers in this industry. The music composers add soul to a song and the final touch to a song is given by singers by adding their emotions.
Bollywood has given us many great singers but nobody can match the Nightingale of India aka Lata Mangeshkar. The great singer has been honored with Bharat Ratna and many such awards. She has sung more than twenty-five thousand songs.
However, a Twitter user, @ikaveri tweeted that the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar was overrated. She said that Indians had been brainwashed to think that she has a good voice. And, she criticized Lata Mangeshkar in a series of tweets.
The topic was soon seen trending on Twitter. Many came to her defense with more than 6,000 tweets and even shared links to Mangeshkar’s most popular songs. It is unacceptable to speak ill of her “golden voice”. Singer Adnan Sami also took Twitter and wrote in her defense, “Bandar Kya Jaane Adrak Ka Swaad (What does the monkey know of the good taste of ginger). …It’s better to stay silent and appear stupid than to open your mouth & remove all doubt!!”

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri also defended the legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar and wrote, “One of the reasons I believe in Saraswati and divine is because of Lata Mangeshkar. One of the reasons I believe in devil is because of her haters.”
