The Queen of South India, actress Trisha Krishnan received considerable criticism for removing her Instagram post while evaluating the newly launched film ‘Animal.’ Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie features Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in prominent roles. In her Instagram review, the actress labeled the film a cult movie, accompanying it with the caption, “One word: cult. Paaahhh.”

However, Trisha Krishnan swiftly encountered online backlash with numerous users accusing her of being a woke feminist. Commenters on her post questioned why she was delivering lectures on women’s dignity. Just a week prior, following Mansoor Ali Khan’s statement. Some of her disappointed fans expressed frustration as Trisha Krishnan commended the movie ‘Animal.’

Subsequently, the actress removed her Instagram post, prompting criticism online. Many questioned why she deleted the post instead of offering an explanation for praising the film. As of now, the actress has not responded to the memes and GIFs circulating on social media.

An X user, sharing the screenshot, commented, “She was delivering lectures about woman’s dignity just a week ago, right?” Another individual stated, “Do not anticipate negative reviews from actors/actresses for any movies. They cannot express their genuine opinions as they need to sustain in the industry.” A tweet questioned, “What is this behaviour?” in response to the news that the next Vanga heroine is confirmed for a Prabhas film.

On the flip side, some X users rallied behind Trisha. A tweet emphasized, “She understands how to treat a film as a film.” A fan remarked, “She comprehends the difference between fantasy and reality… simple.” Another fan highlighted, “The first case is her standing up for herself when someone made derogatory comments. And the second is her enjoying a movie. Do you guys need someone to explain this to you?”

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the crime drama film “Animal” unfolds a violent world. Against the backdrop of a tumultuous relationship between Ranbir Kapoor’s character, Ranvijay Singh and his father Balbir Singh, portrayed by Anil Kapoor. The cast also includes Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi and Prem Chopra.

Since its Friday release, the film has generated divisive reactions from both critics and audiences. Many criticise the movie for its violent and volatile protagonist. Highlighting themes of toxic masculinity and implausible plot points.

Trisha Krishnan made headlines when actor Mansoor Ali Khan directed misogynistic remarks at her. Subsequently, he issued a statement, apologizing and expressing a wish for divine forgiveness during her wedding. Following the apology, Trisha posted on X, stating, “To err is human, to forgive is divine.” Nevertheless, Mansoor later announced his intention to file a defamation case and sue Trisha Krishnan.
