Vivek Bindra, a renowned motivational speaker and business coach, has garnered widespread recognition for his impactful seminars and online content. However, his journey is not without controversy. From allegations of promoting a ‘scam’ in his business courses, leading to a feud with fellow YouTuber Sandeep Maheshwari, to recent legal troubles involving accusations of abusing and assaulting his wife, Yanika Bindra, Vivek Bindra‘s public image has faced scrutiny. 1. Vivek Bindra Legal Turmoil After Wedding
Days after tying the knot with Yanika on December 6, 2023, Vivek Bindra found himself entangled in a legal dispute as a police complaint was filed against him. The allegations involve assaulting his wife, leading to charges under sections 323, 504, 427, and 325, covering assault, intentional insult, property damage, and causing grievous harm, respectively.
In the filed complaint by Vivek Bindra’s brother-in-law Vaibhav, it is claimed that a dispute arose between Bindra and his mother. When Yanika stepped in, a confrontation ensued between Vivek and Yanika. The situation escalated to the point where Vivek allegedly confined Yanika to a room, subjecting her to both physical and verbal abuse, causing injuries. Yanika Bindra is currently hospitalised in Delhi, receiving medical treatment.
2. Big Scam Exposed
Bindra and fellow motivational speaker Sandeep Maheshwari engaged in a conflict, with Bindra accusing Maheshwari of exploiting his followers through a costly course and engaging them in a government-disapproved pyramid scheme. In response, Maheshwari released a video titled “Big Scam Exposed,” where students allege being charged high fees for a nonexistent business course. The dispute revolves around allegations of scamming and unethical practices in the motivational speaker community.
3. The Morbi- Vivek Bindra controversy
Bindra drew criticism for publicly condemning the quality of tiles manufactured by a company following an industrial visit. The president of Morbi Ceramic Association voiced dissatisfaction, asserting that Bindra should have comprehensively grasped the matter before tarnishing the company’s image on social media. The incident highlights the importance of responsible communication and thorough understanding when expressing opinions that can impact businesses.
4. The Sikh- Vivek Bindra controversy
In June 2022, Bindra faced backlash from the Sikh community over the purported misrepresentation of Guru Gobind Singh in one of his videos. Sikh organizations, including the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, filed complaints globally. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) issued a legal notice, leading Bindra to offer an apology and take down the video from his platforms. 5. IMA Defamation Case
