On Thursday, LLC issued a statement regarding the dispute between the two players. Announcing an internal investigation into the alleged violation of the code of conduct.

However, the LLC commissioner isn’t happy with Sreesanth’s social media tirade. Suggesting it was a ‘breach of contract’ from the pacer.

Sreesanth

As per the legal notice issued by LLC, Sreesanth’s rant on social media about the on-field incident was a ‘breach of contract’. They believe the notice said that no dialogue is possible with Sreesanth. Until he removes all videos he has posted on social media. The notice also said to have stressed. That the on-field umpires did not report mention use of any expletives by Gambhir on the field.

Gambhir Sreesanth social media fight

Following the intense exchange, Sreesanth accused his former teammate, Gambhir, of labelling him a “fixer” during their verbal altercation. In a video posted on Instagram, Sreesanth clarified the situation, stating, “A lot of people have been asking me what happened. I am not going to spend a lot of PR to spread wrong news, I came live to clear the air. ”

“And I am just a normal person, God has been kind to me. Have fought my battles by myself, with the help of loved ones and your support. On live TV, on the centre wicket, he called me a fixer…fixer…fixer. I did not use any abusive words, just questioned him, “what are you saying”. I just laughed sarcastically. He even said the same language to the umpires even though I moved away.”

While Gambhir has not explicitly addressed or clarified the situation. He appeared to indirectly criticise the former Indian pacer on social media. On Thursday, Gambhir shared a cryptic tweet. Notably, Gambhir’s tweet surfaced shortly after a video of him engaging in an argument. With former Indian pacer Sreesanth during the Legends League Cricket (LLC) match. Between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants circulated on social media.

The caption of Gambhir’s post read, “Smile when the world is all about attention!” The post included a picture of him smiling.

Backfire by Sreesanth

Under the post Sreesanth commented, “You have exceeded the boundaries of a sportsman and a brother, and above all, you represent the people. Yet, you continue to engage in conflicts with every cricketer. What is the matter with you? All I did was smile and observe, and you labeled me a fixer? Seriously?”

“Are you above the Supreme Court? You have no authority to speak in such a manner and say whatever you please. And You even verbally abused the umpires, and yet you speak of smiling? You are an arrogant and utterly classless individual who lacks any form of respect for those who supported you.”

“Until yesterday, I always held respect for you and your family. However, you used the derogatory term “fixer” not just once, but seven or eight times. You even resorted to using the F-word towards the umpires and myself, persistently trying to provoke me. Anyone who has experienced what I have endured would never forgive you. Deep down, you know that what you said and did was wrong. Im sure even God wont forgive you. You didn’t even come to the field aftwr that..Come on, God is watching everything,” the 40-year-old said.

Interestingly, former Indian bowler Irfan Pathan responded to Gambhir’s post with a concise comment, “Best answer.”

What LLC had said before

“The incident that has been the talk in the cricketing world violates the code of conduct and necessary action will be taken against all that have violated the very clear rules stated by the league’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Committee,” LLC said in an official statement.

“Legends League Cricket strives to uphold the spirit of cricket and sportsmanship and will conduct an internal investigation on the violation of the code of conduct. They will strictly deal with any misconduct that occurs both on and off the field, including on social media platforms.

“The code of conduct clearly states that necessary action will be taken against players who bring disrepute to the league, the spirit of the game, and the teams they represent. We make our stand very clear and continue to work towards sharing the game with millions of cricketing lovers across the nation and world,” Syed Kirmani, Head of Code of Conduct & Ethics Committee, Legends League Cricket said in an official statement.

Statement by Raman Raheja

“All players contracted in the Legends League Cricket are bound by certain terms related to misconduct and necessary action will be taken as per the codes of conduct laid down by the Code of Conduct & Ethics Committee. We are taking appropriate action against the breach of contract.” Raman Raheja, CEO of Legends League Cricket said.

“Unfortunately, this incident that is making the rounds on social media pulls focus if only for a short time away from what has so far been an extremely exciting season so far with national and international legends playing together for their respective teams.”

“Legends League Cricket aims to continue to be focused on the league itself and let the ASCU and Code of Conduct & Ethics Committee handle the internal investigation and subsequent action with respect to the involved individual/s that will be held in violation of the code of conduct for their comments including ones made on social media,” LLC further stated in an official release.

Sreesanth clearification to LLC

Sreesanth further alleged that former India opener Gambhir displayed inappropriate behaviour towards other players too. Notably, Sreesanth was implicated in the spot-fixing scandal in 2013 while playing for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. He, along with Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan, was arrested by Delhi Police for their roles in the scandal.

The film “Animal” has sparked a discussion on the extent of misogyny permissible in movies. portraying Ranbir Kapoor as the latest symbol of sexism in Indian cinema and endorsing patriarchy unapologetically. Despite these concerns, Tripti Dimri, who holds a significant role in the film, finds a glimmer of hope.

Tripti Dimri

Aside from Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri is gaining immense recognition for her portrayal of Zoya in ‘Animal’. Despite her cameo role, fans are praising her for both her natural beauty and acting prowess.

Fans love to see Tripti Dimri with Ranbir

The chemistry between Tripti Dimri and Ranbir Kapoor has become a hot topic of discussion. She portrays the character of Zoya, also known as Bhabhi 2, the girl with whom Ranbir cheats on Rashmika. Their intimate scene has garnered significant attention.

In a recent interview, the actress justified the decisions. And overtly sexist actions of Ranvijay Singh, portrayed by Ranbir’s character in the film. This includes the highly derogatory scene. Where he instructs her to ‘lick his shoe’ as a test of her loyalty in love. In the scene, Ranvijay asks her to prove her love by licking his shoe. But when she begins to do so, he walks away. Tripti interprets his departure and refusal to let the woman lick his shoe as indicative of his complex emotions.

Not being judgemental

While conversing with Indian Express, the actress, renowned for her roles in content-driven films like Bulbbul and Qala, mentioned that she reconsidered the scene. Tripti stated, “I also thought that here was a woman who talks about killing his wife, father, kids, the entire family . If someone tells me that, I will perhaps beat that person! Here, he does ask her to do that (lick his shoe) but also walks away later. He is clearly going through a lot of these (intense thoughts). Later when his cousins ask her what they should do with me, he says ‘Let her go wherever she wants to’.”

Tripti may have found something less problematic about Rannvijay in Animal. But she emphasised that she is not judging any character. In her subsequent statement, she promptly highlighted how she has learned to play all characters and not judge a character’s ‘motivations.’ She said, “Never judge your character. The characters you are playing, and the character your co-actor is playing. All are human and humans have good and bad sides. An actor must prepare to portray characters across the spectrum of good, bad, and ugly. But if you judge a character’s motivations, and thoughts, you won’t be able to play it with honesty. So that’s what I kept in mind.”

Tripti Dimri loves the label ‘Bhabhi 2’

Additionally, Tripti takes pride in the label ‘Bhabhi 2’ (the other woman), bestowed upon her after her character in Animal. In the same interview, she states, “It does flatter me. Numbers are also a validation; it is a very visible form of love and I am grateful for that. But as an actor, I don’t want to become entangled in that. I know that people are also calling me that (Bhabhi 2) and honestly it just feels very, very overwhelming.”

Kiara Advani discloses what David Beckham said to her at WC Semifinal

Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal recently appeared together on Karan Johar’s talk show, ‘Koffee With Karan’ Season 8. They openly discussed their proposal stories and revealed how their “couch” dreams turned into reality. Despite that, the episode was filled with love.

In one segment of the show, host Karan Johar referred to Kiara as a “hit machine” and a “lucky mascot.” It’s understandable considering her impressive track record with major box office successes such as ‘Kabir Singh,’ ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,’ ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo,’ and ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha.’

David Beckham’s advise to Kiara Advani

When Karan inquired about her feelings regarding the label, the actress responded, “Well, it feels fantastic that the films have performed so well. However, I must mention this since you mentioned ‘lucky.'”

She went on to recollect the advice she received from the legendary David Beckham during the Cricket World Cup 2023 semi-final between India and New Zealand. Advani stated, “During the semi-finals, I was seated next to David Beckham. Someone in our vicinity was discussing India’s fortunate winning streak and the way we are playing.”

Kiara Advani

The actress quoted the football icon, and said, “He (David Beckham) said to me, ‘It’s not luck. It’s someone’s hard work.’ And, it hit me. I really resonated with that because it’s never just a fluke. It’s never just like a stroke of luck. It is always a team, in our case of course. And many people’s hard work. It’s talent, skill, and hard work. If you don’t have that, no matter if the stars are in your favour, not everyone hits it out.”

Gautam Gambhir slams people for calling ‘Panauti’ to Modi after WC defeat

0

Following Team India’s loss to Australia in the 2023 World Cup final, viral images of the dressing room sparked widespread discussion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence to console the players, including senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, was a notable aspect of these pictures. However, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s comment referring to the Prime Minister as “Panauti” during an election rally stirred controversy. Recently, former opener Gautam Gambhir has expressed his candid opinion on this matter, addressing the issue after a significant period.

Gautam Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir deems the comment unwarranted, drawing a parallel to the 2011 World Cup semi-final. In that instance, Dr. Manmohan Singh, the then Prime Minister, attended to witness India facing Pakistan in Mohali.

What Gautam Gambhir said?

Gautam Gambhir criticised the use of the term ‘panauti,’ considering it highly inappropriate. Especially when referring to the Prime Minister of the country. In an interview with ANI, he highlighted the example of the 2011 Cricket World Cup semi-final. Questioning the negativity associated with a Prime Minister offering support in case of a defeat.

“The word that was used, ‘panauti’, it is probably the worst word that could’ve been used against anyone. Particularly a prime minister of this country. In the 2011 Cricket World Cup semi-final, Dr. Manmohan Singh was there. Had we lost that match and he had come to meet us, what would’ve been wrong in that?,” said Gambhir in an interview with ANI.

Rahul Gandhi criticised PM Modi

During an election rally in Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi remarked, “He comes on TV and says ‘Hindu-Muslim’ and sometimes goes to a cricket match… Our boys would have won the World Cup but the panauti (bad omen) lost us the match,” in Hindi. These comments sparked widespread criticism, with senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad. Denouncing them as “shameful, condemnable, and disgraceful.” Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekar also criticised Gandhi. Characterising the remarks as indicators of desperation and mental instability.

Gautam Gambhir open ups on Naveen-ul-haq controversy

Gautam Gambhir addressed the altercation between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq during the LSG vs RCB game in IPL 2023 in Lucknow. In his capacity as the LSG mentor, Gambhir asserted his commitment to supporting his franchise’s players against any adversary. He emphasised that while he refrained from interference during the game, he believed that post-game, he had every right to defend his players if they were involved in heated arguments.

Mitchell Johnson takes multiple jibes at Virat Kohli fan goes viral

0

Amidst the recent controversy involving his altercation with David Warner, Mitchell Johnson has stirred another debate, this time regarding his comments on Virat Kohli. Responding to comments from his followers about the former Indian captain, Johnson made a few statements. Despite these interactions occurring two weeks ago, the remarks have surfaced recently. Coinciding with the peak of his well-publicised clash with Warner.

When a user aimed to provoke Mitchell Johnson by mentioning, ‘Remember Virat Kohli?’, the former fast bowler sarcastically responded with ‘Who?’ However, what sparked dissatisfaction among fans was Johnson labelling Kohli as the easiest wicket of his career. In response to a follower’s comment, ‘Bro, you are Virat’s favourite bowler’. Johnson candidly expressed that ‘He was my easiest to get out’.

Rivalry of Mitchell Johnson and Kohli started from Border Gavaskar Trophy

Johnson and Kohli engaged in multiple confrontations during the 2014 Border Gavaskar Trophy. A series widely regarded as pivotal in Kohli’s ascent to legendary status. Across the four-Test series in Australia, Kohli amassed a remarkable 692 runs in eight innings. Boasting an impressive average of 86.50 and securing four centuries. Notably, his twin hundreds in Adelaide, scoring 115 and 141. During his inaugural Test as captain brought India to the brink of victory. Only to face a twist as Nathan Lyon wreaked havoc in the final two sessions on Day 5.

Amid Kohli’s impressive innings, he and Johnson were involved in heated exchanges. With an incident where Johnson inadvertently threw the ball back at Kohli, hitting his body. Despite Johnson’s prompt apology, Kohli remained unyielding. The on-field confrontations extended beyond the cricket ground, as Kohli vocally expressed his lack of respect for Johnson. Leaving no ambiguity about his sentiments toward the Australian player.

Expressing his frustration, Kohli addressed the media during the Test, stating, “I was genuinely irritated with him hitting me with the ball, and I made it clear that it’s unacceptable. I advised him to aim for the stumps next time, not my body. It’s crucial to convey the right message. I’m on the field to play cricket, to back myself. There’s no valid reason for me to show undue respect to individuals who don’t reciprocate the same respect.”

Rivalry continues in World Cup 2015

Continuing their on-field rivalry, Johnson managed to dismiss Kohli on four occasions in Test matches. One memorable instance was during the 2015 World Cup semi-final between India and Australia at the MCG. Where Johnson induced a top-edge from Kohli, leading to a caught dismissal that silenced the Indian fans. Reflecting on their past encounters, Johnson recently recalled a duel with Kohli from nine years ago. When he delivered a bouncer that struck Kohli squarely on the helmet.

Mitchell Johnson

Reflecting on the past, Mitchell Johnson recalled an incident during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy where, in the aftermath of Phil Hughes’ passing, he struck Kohli on the helmet with the first ball he bowled. Despite the challenging circumstances, Johnson noted the determination on Kohli’s face, highlighting the fierce competition throughout the series and acknowledging India’s outstanding effort in the face of adversity.

On Thursday, ex-Indian fast bowler Sreesanth claimed that his former teammate Gautam Gambhir labeled him a “fixer” during a Legends League Cricket match. The altercation unfolded in an Eliminator clash between Indian Capitals and Gujarat Giants, prompting umpire intervention to defuse the tension. Sreesanth, previously slapped with a life ban by the BCCI over his alleged role in the IPL 2013 spot-fixing controversy, saw the ban shortened to seven years by the Supreme Court of India in 2019.

After the game, Sreesanth took to Instagram live to extensively discuss the incident, alleging that Gambhir employed “bad words” and displayed disrespect. Intriguingly, the ex-India opener refrained from directly countering Sreesanth’s accusations but opted for a cryptic post across his official social media channels.

Gambhir wrote,

While the ex-India opener garnered support from some former teammates on the post, Sreesanth passionately wrote an extensive message denouncing Gambhir for his behavior. The fast bowler conveyed that, following the incident, he has “lost respect” for the cricketer-turned-politician.

Sreesanth’s fiery response to Gambhir

The cricketer took it to the IG and wrote, “

You have exceeded the boundaries of a sportsman and a brother, and above all, you represent the people. Yet, you continue to engage in conflicts with every cricketer. What is the matter with you? All I did was smile and observe, and you labeled me a fixer? Seriously? Are you above the Supreme Court? You have no authority to speak in such a manner and say whatever you please,”

He added, “You even verbally abused the umpires, and yet you speak of smiling? You are an arrogant and utterly classless individual who lacks any form of respect for those who supported you. Until yesterday, I always held respect for you and your family. However, you used the derogatory term “fixer” not just once, but seven or eight times. You even resorted to using the F-word towards the umpires and myself, persistently trying to provoke me.”

Sreesanth commented on the ex-cricketers post, “Anyone who has experienced what I have endured would never forgive you. Deep down, you know that what you said and did was wrong. Im sure even God wont forgive you. You didn’t even come to the field aftwr that. Come on, God is watching everything.”

AIIMS Delhi: Sonu Sood gives aid to a boy struggling for his father heart surgery

0

A poignant post about a man’s father battling a heart condition and the challenges faced in obtaining treatment at AIIMS Delhi has gained widespread attention on X, formerly known as Twitter. Pallav Singh, hailing from Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria. Detailed in an extensive thread the critical state of his father’s heart, functioning at only 20 percent. Necessitating surgery for survival. The post stirred emotions among netizens. Prompting numerous individuals, including actor Sonu Sood. To extend assistance, with Sonu Sood declaring, “We won’t let your father die, brother.”

AIIMS Delhi

Sharing his plight on X on Monday, Singh expressed, “My father will die, soon or very soon. Yes, I know what I am saying. I am writing this while standing in a queue at AIIMS Delhi.” Singh said he comes from a middle-class family. And received a hospital bill which kept him “a step away from being poor”.

Irresponsible behaviour of AIIMS Delhi

After his father experienced a heart attack on September 15, Singh transported him to the nearest health centre in Gorakhpur, away from their hometown Deoria. The diagnosis revealed blockages in three arteries, with his heart functioning at only 20 percent. In late November, Singh brought his father to Delhi, where his sister endured a 24-hour queue to secure an appointment with a cardiologist at AIIMS Delhi. Despite having undergone the required test elsewhere, they had to wait an additional week for the ECHO (echocardiogram). Following this, Singh spent another 24 hours in line to consult with a doctor.

“The doctor, a very reputed senior professor, Padma Awardee, sees my father. Says heart is very weak, prescribes medicines and asks to leave and come later. Yes, later, and no date!” he further wrote.

Over time, they came to realise the gravity of the illness, understanding that urgent surgery was imperative. Singh questioned why the doctor didn’t direct his father to a surgeon. After exploring multiple private hospitals for 45 days, Singh grasped that opting for surgery at a private facility would necessitate selling “everything they have, including their house.”

Doctor was absent

Consequently, he revisited AIIMS and queued up for another appointment with the doctor. The doctor’s absence on leave caused them to wait for 15 days before being referred for surgery. Navigating from one counter to another in CN Tower at AIIMS, he eventually secured an appointment with the surgeon on the same day. Reflecting on the ordeal, he conveyed, “Got the appointment at 2 PM, but the doctor arrived at 6 PM. Waiting for 4 hours with a seriously ill heart patient on an iron chair in winter!”

The doctor instructed them to leave the documents and return the next day for a case review. After waiting for five hours upon their arrival the following day, which was Friday, they were informed that the doctor wouldn’t be available, and they were asked to return on Monday.

Contemplating the situation, Singh expressed, “What next? Waiting here and Monday it is. No idea if he’ll be here. Honestly speaking, I have no complaints with him. Saddened to see what a mess is the situation once you get medically ill.”

He continued, “I even know what will happen next. He will ask to get some tests done, and then be back for evaluation. Then I’ll run from one counter to another for at least dozens of them to get appointment for the tests. Appointment date will be of a month later,” he added.

Same attitude of AIIMS Delhi towards his mother also

Singh conveyed that if the doctor deems the results satisfactory after undergoing various tests for a month, the doctor will provide a surgery date, which is expected to be “beyond a year for sure.”

He expressed the dire circumstances, stating that his father, a diabetic patient on insulin, aged 52 with a heart function at 20%, would have to wait for at least 13 months to get his surgery done. Yes 13 months. And not in free, but by paying at least a lakh rupees.” Singh mentioned the slim likelihood of his father surviving for this extended period in such a critical condition. He also highlighted their limited income, primarily relying on his job.

Furthermore, Singh disclosed that his mother is a “terminally ill patient, a subject of research in the same AIIMS for two years now,” due to a neurological disorder. In a family of four, two members are already ailing, leaving uncertainty about their well-being each morning. He lamented the inability to opt for a private hospital due to financial constraints and the associated risks.

Sonu Sood noble gesture

Reposting Singh’s tweet, Sonu Sood stated, “We won’t let your father die, brother. Message me your number directly on my personal Twitter ID inbox. Kindly refrain from sharing it in a tweet.”

Other people reactions

“Please come to Mumbai, we will do the surgery in Sion hospital as early as possible (within 3-4 days),” Dr Prashant Mishra wrote.

“This is not just his story, every middle class person has to face this, maybe after this tweet he will get help but what about the rest?? The government should focus on private and government hospitals for better treatment from health and economic point of view,” another person wrote.

AIIMS Delhi responded

The X account of AIIMS, New Delhi (@aiims_newdelhi) reacted to the post. “AIIMS New Delhi has come to know about the patient who had registered in the Cardiology opd had some issues while waiting for evaluation. We called the patient/son @pallavserene on the phone number obtained from hospital records. We came to know that the patient is now in his village in Deoria, UP and is comfortable at home. He will be coming to AIIMS for further treatment whenever his father feels discomfort and currently doesn’t need any help. We have offered technical support. Immediately after the tweet, we gave them our helpline number on direct message on Twitter (X),” the account said.

Singh expressed gratitude to AIIMS Delhi

Singh conveyed deep appreciation, stating that he was “deeply touched” by the support received from the AIIMS staff, who reached out to him. He expressed gratitude for every message and call, mentioning that he is not currently prepared for media interactions but promises to share his journey with everyone when the time is deemed right.

Amit Shah gives Savage Reply to Adhir Ranjan’s ‘Jab azadi ki ladai hui, ap kaha the?’ remark

0

On Wednesday’s (December 6) winter session of Parliament, the lower house witnessed some light moments while discussing two bills related to Jammu and Kashmir. When Union Home Minister Amit Shah was speaking in the house during the discussion on the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill, 2023. And the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill 2023, some lighthearted moments occurred. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury made a remark that elicited a light-hearted response from Home Minister Amit Shah.

The response from Amit Shah evoked laughter among MPs

Home Minister Amit Shah gave a witty response that led to laughter among the MPs present in the House. During his address, Shah, while mentioning the situation in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, took a dig at former Prime Minister Nehru.

Shah stated that when Nehru was the Prime Minister, they took Kashmir without a fight, and making our issues international by taking them to the United Nations was a significant mistake. Reacting to Shah’s statement, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury expressed disagreement. He indirectly targeted the BJP, asking Shah, “Where were you during the fight for independence?” (Jab azadi ki ladai hui, ap kaha the?)

Amit Shah

Upon this remark, Home Minister Shah promptly replied, “I was not born then.” (Me paida nahi hua tha). This response triggered laughter among the MPs present in the House. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, seated on the dais, also smiled. Amidst this, some pro-government MPs also questioned Adhir Ranjan about Rahul’s whereabouts during the fight for independence.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla made a witty comment!

Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, “Honourable Home Minister ji had given an official statement that the complete statement regarding the time of independence struggle has been submitted to the court, he will submit it again.” He added humorously, “(Home Minister ji), tell them once, second mistake… provide another context for them.” This led to laughter. Upon this, Lok Sabha Speaker said, “Not a mistake, context, sorry…”

Following this, the Home Minister highlighted how just by exposing one mistake of the Congress leader, things became entangled. “I want to highlight two things – first, we took Kashmir without a fight. And second, making the issue international by taking it to the UN was a significant mistake.”

When Amit Shah said: Adhyaksh mahoday mujhe inse sarankshan chahiye

When Home Minister Amit Shah made a statement about the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, a debate ensued with Congress MPs in the House. Meanwhile, during the discussion on the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, there was also a sharp exchange with Congress MP Manish Tewari.

When Amit Shah was attempting to respond, Manish Tewari kept speaking continuously, prompting Amit Shah to request protection from Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Shah said, “Mr. Speaker, I cannot speak like this. I need protection from him.” Shah said, “Mr. Speaker, provide me with arrangements so that I can respond. I cannot respond to him like this.” Meanwhile, Manish Tewari continued speaking. And Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla signalled him to remain silent and indicated towards the Union Home Minister.
