But, unfortunately, they never leave alive. Interestingly, these mass suicides happen on a specific strip of land between September and October. On moonless nights, between 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm, this phenomenon has been taking place for more than a century now. That is why it is considered one of the most haunted places in Assam.
