Katy Perry Named Jennifer Aniston Godmother of Her Unborn Daughter. See How Twitter Reacted. Don’t Cry.
Katy Perry and Jennifer Aniston are good friends for nearly a decade now. But, we never realised they were such close friends that Katy decided to make Jennifer her unborn daughter’s Godmother.
Katy Perry is pregnant for a while now and is expected to give birth in the coming weeks. She seems too excited as this is going to be her first child which she is having with her fiance and actor Orlando Bloom.
The Mirror reported that the pop star asked Friends’ actor Jennifer to be her daughter’s Godmother. It also said that Aniston has been “a huge support” to Katy and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, during the quarantine.
A source close to the two friends revealed that Katy and Jen are very close and “During the lockdown, they went for socially distanced walks and spent lots of time catching up. She(Jennifer) is pretty chuffed about it as well and cried when they asked her.”
Katy placed the 51-year-old actress at the top of their list of potential Godmothers for their unborn child. It’s great to hear a yes the first time you request and both the girls seem really excited for the move, judging from the reactions described by the sources.

Losing The British Accent
If you have watched the show, you know the backdrop of the series was that of America in the ’80s. But Jonathan Buyers, Will’s big brother, played by Charlie Heaton, is originally a British. So he was compelled to change his pronunciation completely so that whenever he spoke, there was no trace of any British accent. 50 shots were taken just for him to say the name ” Nancy ” in an American accent. All we have to say is, Jon, you’ve done an excellent job.
Mobile Phones Prohibited On The Sets
Taking into consideration the period of the show, it is evident that the people in the 80’s were not so keen on mobile phone usage. But these kids belong to the generation of cellphones, and without it, we know how we feel.
So to make it more realistic, the actors were not allowed to use their cellphones in the set premises. Apart from the shoot, the cast would go home so exhausted, that they barely touched phones.
Stay Prepared To Lose Your Voice
No doubt there is a lot of screaming in all the 3 seasons, especially by the kid with superpowers, Eleven aka Millie Bobby Brown, whenever she happens to use them. The ear-splitting scream had even caused Millie to lose her voice five times during the scheduled 8 months of shooting. Hats off to such dedication!
No Haircut Other Than The Show
Yes, you read that right. The kids were not allowed to sport haircuts other than the one they are seen in the series. This particular rule was specially applied to Steve Harrington, played by Joe Kerry. He was shown to be obsessed with his thick, silky hair. Luckily, during his audition he came with full, overgrown hair and the Duffer brothers decided to keep it like that throughout the show. Well, turns out it was the best decision.
Making A Habit Of Wearing 80’s Clothes
The cast was seen wearing clothes of the ’80s, not only in the series but also at their homes. Since the men in the 80’s wore really tight jeans, the cast was asked to wear them frequently so that they would be comfortable while shooting. Nevertheless, you can’t help but accept that the 80’s fashion was quite quirky.
No Additional Makeup Allowed While Coming To The Sets
This was specially added to the list of imposed rules mainly because of Millie Bobby Brown who once appeared on the sets smeared with glitter. It took the makeup artists, 45 minutes extra to remove the glitter from her face; as a result, delaying their shoot.
Too Much Muscularity Not Allowed
The show depicts the time of the ’80s. Considering the plot, characters needed to look skinny or chubby as apparently the people at that time never went to the gym. Thus, to fit the role of Billy, Dacre Montgomery had to put on a few kilos by changing his diet. Needless to say, he worked really hard.

We are personally very fond of this regulation. No one should be allowed to hurl slang at each other, whether on the sets or any other workplace in the world. Plot Should Not Be Revealed Under Any Circumstance
Netflix took the precautionary measures a level higher by preparing sheets for the actors to guide them in interviews. They taught them what they should and shouldn’t speak about in interviews. On 15 June 2020, nearly 20,000 devotees gathered at the Kauleshwari Devi Temple on the hills in Hunterganj block of Chatra district, over 170km north of Jharkhand capital Ranchi. They nicely violated lockdown provisions and had no concern for masks and social distancing norms.

Vikas Dubey has recently hit the headlines several times. A recognised gangster with 60+ criminal records, with his recent crime involving the demise of 8 cops in UP, was arrested in Ujjain on 9th July.
It was not more than 24 hours that a new update came in stating Vikas Dubey was no more after UP Police had to shoot him down. As per records, the police vehicle carrying the criminal overturned and Vikas tried to flee the scene. Realising the situation, the police in charge had to take a stern decision of shooting the convict as he was trying to escape police custody.
However, a recent update by ANI states that the media people following the convoy carrying Vikas Dubey was stopped midway in Sachendi area of Kanpur before the enc0unter took place.

Commandos On Street In Kerala! God’s Place Isn’t Safe Anymore
Kerala is among the very few Indian states which have done decently well in terms of containing the local transmission of the coronavirus.
The first-ever case of coronavirus in India popped up in Kerala. Still, the district administration of Kerala has been very alert with their controlling measures, which is the reason why the situation in Kerala hasn’t worsened as much as it has worsened in most of the other Indian states.
However, recently the local transmission in a village named Poonthura, located in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala has got the alarm bells ringing for the district administration and the state government.
The administration has swung into action straight away after 119 swab samples out of a total of 600 samples collected from the village have turned out to be positive.
The situation, as described by government officials, is so worse because they are witnessing ‘super spread’ in the area. Super Spread refers to transmission of the virus from one person to a large group of people.
After sealing the entire village, by road and sea too, nearbout, 25 commandos were deployed in the village to ensure people don’t gather anywhere in the village.
Apart from the commandos, the administration also deployed health workers to conduct more and more testing. Sanitization workers have also taken charge to disinfect every house in the village.
Nobody from outside will get an entry into the village until the village is out of the containment zone. Yes, the whole village was recently declared a containment zone, and then categorized into areas which are “critical containment zones” and areas which are “buffer zones”. Lockdown measures will be stricter in the critical containment zones.
The fishermen from the village won’t have permission to go fishing in the sea either. Since it’s a coastal village, the residents are mostly fishermen who used to go fishing even while the country was under complete lockdown. But, after the spread of the virus recently, state administration imposed a complete ban on fishing activities to avoid taking any chances with the fishermen of the locality.
However, the state government also decided to provide the much needed free rations to each family in Poonthura’s three wards from today onwards.
As far as Kerala’s overall coronavirus situation is concerned; the state reported 6196 cases, out of which 3560 patients have already recovered and discharged from the hospital.
A total number of 2604 cases are still active, while there have been 28 casualties so far. The mortality rate in Kerala is 0.45% which is significantly lower than the overall mortality rate in India, which stands at 2.74% right now.

Bihar Court Dismissed Case Against Bollywood Moguls! Sushant Fans Shattered By The Reason
Amidst all the cacophony that kept on burgeoning after the unfortunate demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, a Bihar court dismissed a petition filed to incriminate Salman Khan, Ekta Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar for allegedly abetting Sushant. The court quoted jurisdictional limitations as the reason for dismissal.
Chief Judicial Magistrate of Muzaffarpur, Mukesh Kumar dismissed the petition filed by local advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha, demonstrating that this petition is well beyond the vice of the court’s confined jurisdiction.
This claim gained traction after Sushant’s demise was backed up by several livid celebrities who were waging an ardent war against nepotism in the industry. The advocate presented Kangana Ranaut’s video to cite as a testimony, the video in which she vociferously voiced her opinion against the facts on papers and claims that Sushant was compelled to take away his life.
A serial advocate, who of late has not relented in pointing fingers at renowned celebrities of the industry, citing varied other reasons, however, with very limited success, was the one who brought the hammer down on Salman Khan, Ekta Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
In front of the media, he claimed, “I will challenge the CMJ’s decision before the district court. Bihar is in pain over the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. We must act to bring those, who drove a jovial young man like him to take such an extreme step, to justice.”
Actors from Bihar and all over the nation hinted at the involvement of foul-play in Sushant’s demise. Though Mumbai Police wanted to snub it away, many have even called for a CBI inquiry, claiming that there is more in this case than meets the eye.

One of the things which caused the suspicion in the minds of Sushant’s fans was the fact that the news of the actor’s death was updated on his Wikipedia page at 8:59 am, while the news came out in national media at around 12:30 pm.
Sushant was fine till 8:59 am and it is understood that he even had a phone call with his sister at 9 am, so how can someone know at 8:59 am that the actor was going to commit suicide? That’s the question which has been causing stress to Sushant’s fans.
Many of them highlighted it on twitter with the screenshots of the edit history of the Wikipedia page of Sushant.

However, there are a couple of things which need to be noted here. First of all, Wikipedia is an open website for everyone, and every user has the right to update the content on the website.
The editors of the website later verify the content, and if it’s found to be fake content, they remove it from the page and in some cases; they even ban the user as well.
Secondly, Wikipedia works on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and not on Indian Standard time (IST). UTC runs 5 and a half hours behind IST which means if something has been updated at 8:59 am UTC, the timing according to the IST is 2:29 pm.
So, the news of Sushant’s death was updated on Wikipedia well after the news broke out in national media.
