They were allegedly involved in the use of snake venom during rave parties. Nevertheless, Yadav has refuted the allegations and conveyed his readiness to assist the police in their investigation.

 

When questioned by a reporter from Republic India about the serious accusations against Elvish Yadav, his father unequivocally dismissed all the allegations as ‘groundless.’ He stated, “The claims against my son are entirely without merit. May God grant wisdom to the accuser.”

Elvish Yadav’s father faced questions regarding the statement made by BJP MP Maneka Gandhi. In response, he expressed that his child is the only one left to confront these accusations. He recounted that when he spoke to his son after the allegations arose, his son assured him, saying, “Dad, it’s not true. I haven’t done anything.” The YouTuber’s father also mentioned that he is presently in Mumbai for his professional commitments.

Allegations made against Elvish Yadav

It is important to note that Elvish Yadav is facing charges under severe legal sections. The YouTuber stands accused of both smuggling poisonous snakes and organising rave parties. According to reports from the news agency ANI, an FIR has been filed against Elvish Yadav and five others at Noida Sector 49 Police Station based on the allegations.

It has been reported that he used to demand a substantial fee for providing poison at these parties. The authorities conducted a raid and recovered nine snakes in the process.

The Uttar Pradesh police have confirmed the registration of an FIR against six individuals, including social media influencer Elvish Yadav, for allegedly providing snake venom at rave parties.

The FIR was lodged under the provisions of sections 9, 39, 48A, 49, 50, and 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, in addition to section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Previously, the Noida police, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh forest department, conducted a joint operation at Sector 51 Saffron Villa in Noida, uncovering a group allegedly responsible for supplying snake venom at a rave party.

According to law enforcement officials, they recovered nine snakes at the location, comprising five cobras, a red snake, a python, and two other species.

The individuals detained have been identified as Rahul (32), Teetunath (45), Jaikaran (50), Narayan (50), and Ravinath (45).

According to reports from news agency PTI, all of them hail from Moharband village in Badarpur, southeast Delhi.

Additionally, the police confiscated a plastic bottle containing 20ml of snake venom from the suspects. This substance has been sent for testing to determine whether it possesses psychotropic properties that could induce drug-like effects in the human body.

Former Indian player Aakash Chopra characterised the comments as ‘comical’ and stated that they do not appear to align with the spirit of cricket in any way.

Pakistan cricket legend Wasim Akram, who boasts over 500 ODI wickets, offered an explanation regarding how umpires monitor the balls provided to the bowlers for their deliveries. However, he did not refrain from criticising Raza without explicitly mentioning his name. Akram expressed that individuals like Raza, who are of Pakistani origin, tarnish the reputation of the entire nation.

Wasim Akram firmly dismissed Hasan Raza’s unfounded assertion that the Indian team employed distinct cricket balls in the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. India’s fast bowlers, in particular, have consistently demonstrated their prowess, making the tournament seem effortless with their impressive displays. Their most recent achievement was a dominant 302-run win against Sri Lanka, as the Sri Lankan squad was dismissed for a mere 55 runs while pursuing a daunting 358-run target.

Speaking on A Sports, Wasim Akram responded by saying, “I’ve been following these claims for the past few days. I’d like to experience what these individuals are going through because it seems like they are not in the right state of mind. The remaining balls are taken to the opposing team’s dressing room in a box with several witnesses. The second team then selects two balls, which are subsequently presented to the on-field umpire, clearly indicating which team chose which. I don’t know who comes up with such conspiracy theories.”

Akram also suggested that instead of entertaining conspiracy theories, people should consider the possibility that these bowlers have honed their skills and deserve recognition.

What is the controversy?

Former Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza has levied allegations against the Indian team, claiming that they engage in unfair tactics. Raza suggests that the ICC and the BCCI show preferential treatment to Indian bowlers by supplying them with unique cricket balls.

According to Raza, he said, “We’ve observed that when India is batting, their performance is outstanding, but when it’s their turn to bowl, the ball starts behaving strangely. There have been 7-8 contentious DRS decisions that have favoured them. The way Siraj and Shami were swinging the ball, it seemed like the ICC or the BCCI might have provided them with altered and questionable balls during the second innings. Joint Operation Busts Snake Venom Supply Gang at Noida Rave Party

A collaborative operation involving the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department and Noida Police resulted in a raid on Saffron Villas in Sector 51, Noida. The operation successfully dismantled a gang responsible for supplying snake venom to a rave party.

Law enforcement took into custody five individuals, namely Rahul, Titunath, Jayakaran, Narayan, and Ravinath, from the banquet hall at the party location. Among the seized items were five cobras, a red snake, a python, and two other snakes.

The police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) under sections 9, 39, 48A, 49, 50, 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, and section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Shreyas Iyer:Troubled me? Have you seen how many pull shots I’ve scored? Especially which has gone for four.

If you’re trying to hit a ball, you’re bound to get out anyway. Irrespective it’s a short ball, it’s an over pitch. If I get bowled two or three times, you all would say that, OK, he can’t play an in-swinging ball. He can’t play a cut if a ball is seeming.

So see, we, as players are bound to get out on any sort of deliveries. You guys have created that environment outside that he can’t play a short ball. And I feel that people are picking that up every now and then and it plays on your mind regularly and you keep working on that.

Coming from Mumbai, especially from Wankhede, where the bounce is pretty much even and it bounces way more than any other pitches. So, I’ve played majority of my games here, so I know how to tackle it. It’s just that when I go to hit some shots, you are bound to get out and sometimes it may work, sometimes it may not. And majority of the times it hasn’t worked for me, maybe that’s the reason you think it’s a problem for me. But in my mind, I know there’s no problem.

Back injury was an issue

He conceded that moving after the back injury he sustained earlier in the year was exceptionally challenging. Iyer was sidelined for over six months due to the surgery he underwent to address the issue, and he appeared entirely nonchalant about it.

Along with the accusations of being apprehended with intoxicating substances. I want to make it clear that these reports and charges against me are entirely baseless. Not even a fraction of truth exists within them.”

“I am ready to cooperate with the UP police in this investigation,” he added.

Elvish Yadav is the recent winner of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss OTT.’  He has emphatically stated his commitment to taking responsibility if even a minuscule 0.1 percent of his involvement is found in the ongoing case. He also made a fervent plea to the media, requesting them not to tarnish his reputation until concrete evidence emerges.

Addressing the media, the influencer asserted, “Until you possess tangible proof of my arrest, kindly refrain from damaging my image. I have no connection with this case.”

The backdrop to this unfolding drama is the arrest of five individuals. And the rescue of nine snakes from a banquet hall in Noida’s Sector 51. These individuals had allegedly congregated for a party. They were apprehended as part of an operation carried out by an animal rights group, People for Animals (PFA). This group is led by BJP parliamentarian Maneka Gandhi.

In the filed complaint, Gaurav Gupta of PFA alleged that his organisation had received information about Elvish Yadav’s involvement in creating videos featuring live snakes and snake venom, not only in Noida but also in other parts of the National Capital Region (NCR). These activities were allegedly associated with the clandestine organisation of rave parties.

Regarding an image of him with a snake, he clarified that it had originated from a music video shoot conducted six months ago.

The situation continues to evolve with Yadav’s supporters and the public. Both are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the investigation.
