On February 11, 2021, Jennifer Aniston turned 52 and celebrated her birthday. The Hollywood star is one of the most amazing actors in the West. Even though she started her acting career in 1987 with Mac and Me, the actor rose internationally to fame with her stupendous character of Rachel Green that she portrayed on the television series, Friends in 1994. It went on to air for ten years and became a classic show. Besides Courteney Cox, her ex-husband Justin Theroux also wished her on his Instagram. Even after splitting up for four years, Justin shared a black and white photo with a sweet message for his former wife on her birthday. He wrote, “Happy birthday @jenniferaniston … [Love] you B!” using a red heart emoji in the message.

Justin has publicly referred to her as “B” many times before, but we are uncertain why he is referring to the actress as B. For the unversed, Jennifer and Justin got married in 2015 and officially broke up in early 2018.

Months later, Justin broke his silence on split up and admitted that they both separated their ways without any hostility. According to an article in Olean Times Herald, he said, “The good news is that was probably the most – I’m choosing my words really carefully – it was kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity.” He added, “Again, neither one of us is dead, neither one of us is looking to throw hatchets at each other. It’s more like, it’s amicable. It’s boring, but, you know, we respected each other enough that it was as painless as it could be.”

Justin revealed how heartbreaking it was that their friendship will change. He said, “It was heartbreaking, only in the sense that the friendship would not be the same, as far as just the day today. But the friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we’re both very proud of.”

Reportedly, a source said, “Jennifer has been doing incredibly well. Her decision to move forward in life without Justin was one of the most difficult of her life but she now knows for sure, it was the right one.” The source continued, “Since they split, her friends believe their plan to move forward in life without one another was the best decision for both of them. Neither of them is pining for each other but instead, finding themselves again.”

Nobody can forget that memorable moment. It was a perfect set up for Ross and Rachel kiss, with an empty Central Perk, amazing rain outside, and a moonlight setting. After an argument when they did confess their feelings for each other, they thought that moment has passed. But, when Rachel turned and saw Ross outside the Central Perk, we did know what is going to happen next. Mike was perfect to marry Phoebe and many fans also wanted to see him as the seventh friend in the show. He brought some amazing moments in the show which were both hilarious and memorable. But Phoebe being Phoebe, instead of just taking Mike’s second name, she chooses to become Princess Consuela Banana Hammock. Every time Paul Rudd aka Mike appears in the show, he creates hilarious scenes. That is why he is considered to be one of the funniest characters in the show. This was an epic Central Perk moment where Mike showcases his piano playing skills to Phoebe. Mike made it clear to Phoebe he can’t play piano at Central Perk because there is no piano. In this episode, Ross tries to teach Rachel and Phoebe about the importance of “Unagi” at Central Perk, which is Japanese self-defense that makes people sense whenever danger is near. This results in some hilarious scenes throughout the episode. Girls try to scare Ross and the hand movement that goes with it only proves that how great it is, with Ross taking it to heart that it’s impossible not to laugh at it.

American Sitcom FRIENDS is one of the most popular and highly loved shows worldwide. It has been almost twenty-five years since the episode, “The One After the Superbowl” premiered but the talks haven’t dampened yet. Many actors made guest appearances throughout the ten seasons and one name among them was Jean-Claude Van Damme who was featured in the Superbowl episode. It is often said that he didn’t leave the best impression on the set of FRIENDS while working with Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston.

The special hour-long episode “The One After the Superbowl” features Brooke Sheilds, Julia Roberts, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chris Isaak, Dan Castellaneta, and Fred Willard as special guests. But, it was Van Damme who caused few issues on the set. From unpunctuality to making two of the stars uncomfortable.

He portrayed a version of himself in the episode “The One After the Superbowl: Part 2”, where Rachel and Monica meet Van Damme while he was shooting for a movie. Monica had a crush on him so Rachel approached him to talk on behalf of Monica. Later, both the girls ended up chasing up for the attention of the action hero. Despite Phoebe doing her best to point out that they were being ridiculous, they spend most of the episode placing Van Damme on a pedestal. It’s not until the star suggests a 3esome, they both decide to dump him.

On account of FRIENDS’ 25th anniversary, the episode’s director disclosed that Van Damme didn’t exactly cover himself in glory during his short time on the show. He was unprofessional and quite difficult to manage. In this multi-starrer episode, the crew praised all of the guest stars except one. Talking with The Hollywood Reporter, director of the show, Michael Lembeck remembered an incident where both Aniston and Cox were uncomfortable because of Van Damme.

He said, “He’s unprepared and arrogant! But this is the story I want to share: We shoot him and Jennifer first. Then she walks over to me and says, “Lem, Lem, would you do me a favor and ask him not to put his tongue in my mouth when he’s ki*sing me?” I tell him everything is great but it’s a tight shot so maybe let’s not do that. He continued, “Then we’re shooting a scene later with Courteney. Here comes Courteney walking toward me and saying, “Lem, can you please tell him not to put his tongue in my mouth?” I couldn’t believe it! I had to tell him again, but a little firmer.”

However, it is worth noting that neither any of the cast members nor Van Damme comments on the incident that Lembeck describes. Also, those bonus scenes were not aired on the original broadcast. There is a possibility that Lembeck is remembering the story differently, but if it did happen in the way that the director mentions, it serves as a clear example of how power dynamics can overpower any interaction.

Warren Littlefield said, “Jean-Claude Van Damme may have fallen into the category of who’s more difficult to work with, him or the monkey?” Kevin remembered that the actor arrived three or four hours late to the set. And when Kevin tried to talk to him regarding the scene, the actor said, “No! First, I memorize lines. Then you give me the feeling.”

Few writers of the show commented on the Van Damme storyline as a whole. Writer Michael Borokow said, “He’s not a comedy star, and I think it showed. On the other hand, we didn’t need him to be funny. We needed a big Hollywood star that the girls would fight over and he did that great.” And writer Alexa Junge said, “I didn’t like that storyline. I was upset that my Monica and Rachel sold each other out romantically.”

The guest appearance of Jean-Claude Van Damme on FRIENDS is a reminder that there can be many examples where performers intentionally and unintentionally cross the line. The fact that these incidents or stories are rarely made public doesn’t mean they’re not happening.

Now leaving besides all the negativity, let’s get caught up in something good. We obviously don’t wish to have negativity filled in the air whenever the name FRIENDS is called. So let’s get indulged in some ki$ses that were never awkward. Rather they looked the best and I guess the cast enjoyed it too (or not maybe)! Also, don’t get bumped if we mention a few odd ones because they were really fun to watch!

Rachel & Joey The First Time

Most of us did not like the Joey and Rachel thing but you can’t deny that the first time their lips met, it was really magical. The heat they had and the passion in their eyes was all so wonderful. You can’t help but notice the sweetest gesture of Joey when he slides Rachel’s hair before getting busy again. Their relationship did not work out for long but the initial days were so like a college couple love. They had to hide their thing from Ross, so sneaking out and maintaining boundaries in their love was all so childish but cute.

Ross & Rachel After Watching An Old Video

You can never forget this scene if you have watched FRIENDS even casually and managed to reach the part here. The Rachel Ross thing was never stable and they were often seen on and off.

The flashback scenes in the show were funny and the clip that they were watching in this episode was funny for sure but dramatic as well. Ross and Rachel’s looks were hilarious at some point but the best thing we saw in there was Ross’s love for Rachel. The Ross and Rachel story had deep roots and Phoebe said it right that Rachel was his lobster. In the end, it turned out to be true that they were indeed lobsters!

The moment Rachel realizes that there can be no one else in the world who can love her more than Ross is when she gets up from her seat. She is already emotional by then and we could all feel those emotions when Rachel approached Ross to ki$s her. We could see and feel emotions like never before, Ross waited quite a long and his patience alone is enough to make someone fall in love. The scene was so emotional that Monica couldn’t help but shed a tear of happiness in the background. Maybe the energy was real, maybe they were too indulged in their characters and that is the reason why we too could feel it while watching.

Chandler & Joey At The New Year

The best ki$s list is always incomplete if we don’t include this one because the bromance we see here is exceptional! It was surely not the most comfortable scene for the actors but besides Joey and Chandler, everyone else enjoyed it in the room. We can hear others laughing out loud in the blooper clip and this is invaluable. The awkwardness between the two could be felt and the way they react afterward is just so funny. Probably this is why their bromance was so strong because they knew each other in and out and at times had quite a bit of romance (just kidding).

Anyways, the uncomfortable ki$s between the two is surely epic and will be remembered forever!

When the romantic couple is trying to hang up the phone without actually doing it, everyone has had that moment where they just want to take it and actually do it for them. And, Rachel did exactly what anyone else would. However, it was hilarious because Rachel was all sassy about Julie and Ross.

While observing the popular show FRIENDS, we were able to see that the show succeeds because of the close bonds between the six characters of the show. Sure, they had faced conflicts with one another but, they rose above it all and came out even stronger. However, the friends of FRIENDS were a pretty close group, but some other characters could have been the 7th friend in the show.

There were outstanding guest stars and recurring characters that have the potential to become the 7th friend. Even though the outcome of the show was superb, there will always be hanging questions when it comes to this said topic. So, here is the list of characters who deserved to be the 7th friend of the show. Let’s check out:

Gunther

Gunther was the owner of the famous Central Perk coffee shop and was there throughout the series. He was never a part of the gang but he was surely the follower of their adventures. Gunther definitely deserves to be the 7th friend. However, the major conflict that could have occurred from this storyline is that he loved Rachel, like Ross.

Janice

Oh my god!! Janice is one of the most entertaining and beloved characters of the show. Her ongoing and off going relationship with Chandler kept her throughout the show. It would have been good to see her stay on the show, as she was never short of hysterical. She surely had the potential to get along with the group in a strange manner.

Mike

Mike has been cast later in the series but, he was excellent and was there till the end of the show. His relationship with Phoebe was beloved by the audience and he connected with the group quite smoothly. That is why he can be the perfect 7th friend of the group.

Carol

Carol was Ross’s lesbian wife. Eventually, they both got divorced but Carol always remained around the group because she was the mother of Ross’ child, Ben. So, it would have been acceptable to see her around with a more prominent role. Her overall pretty tame personality could have been an amazing addition to the group.

Eddie

Becoming Eddie as the 7th friend might have been a stretch because he was insane. His wicked temper and unstable mind made Chandler quite uncomfortable while they were roommates. However, keeping him for a longer period would have been amazing because he was hysterical.

Richard

Richard definitely was a character that could have had a larger story than just being Monica’s partner. His character was very intriguing. However, the relationship between Richard and Monica ended, he could have been a powerful addition to the group.

Will

Will was Ross’s best friend from high school. It would have been perfect to carry over their friendship just like Ross and Chandler. But, for that to happen, he needed to drop his hatred for Rachel. That would have been a major challenge for him. However, he was hilarious in the thanksgiving episode.

Dina

It would have been great for Dina’s story if she had become the seventh friend of the group. Her young character would have benefitted from the guidance of the group. They could have been a good influence on her. Since Joey was her brother, it would have been understandable to see her around more with the group.

Ben

Ben was Ross’s son who goes on disappearing from the later series. Do you agree that Ben should have seen far more? They could have utilized his character differently. Having Ben around in the show could have been a growing experience for the FRIEND’s group and also it would have been hysterical.

Frank

Frank was hilarious in his short time on the series. He would have been fun to watch in a larger role. It also would have been great for Phoebe, as she could have her family around. Since the series followed his love life and having a family, the connection certainly should have been shown more as the series went on.

Lisa Kudrow played twin sisters Phoebe and Ursula Buffay in the famous sitcom FRIENDS. Their scenes together required the help of someone close to her and some old tricks to make it believable. Among the six main characters of the show, Phoebe Buffay was the only one to have the twin character. FRIENDS premiered in 1994 on NBC and made a remarkable place in the people’s hearts in 10 years. The show created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman came to an end in 2004. However, the show continues to be popular, and its time at Netflix introduced new generations to it.

FRIENDS was based on the six young adults living in New York City juggling through their professional, social, and personal lives. Among those, Phoebe was the most off-center in the group with the most complicated family background. Everybody in her family was either dead or left her. However, Phoebe had a twin sister Ursula with whom she didn’t have a good relationship. Ursula was the complete opposite of Phoebe. She didn’t appear much in the show but she was nasty with Phoebe and often cut their conversations short.

Lisa Kudrow played both the characters in the show. The production crew used the help of another Kudrow family member and some good old TV magic tricks for the scenes where Phoebe and Ursula appeared together.

In FRIENDS, Ursula’s scenes were often with Phoebe. But since Lisa isn’t a twin, some tricks were used by the production team to sell the idea. So, Lisa Kudrow shot both the parts and double played the other character. She also showed another character from behind to make the interaction believable and give a better idea of them being together. The double of Lisa Kudrow was played by her sister Helen Kudrow. She has around the same height and built as Lisa which made us believe that Phoebe is a twin. However, shooting for both Phoebe and Ursula scenes was not fun for Lisa Kudrow.

According to an interview with EW, director Kevin S. Bright disclosed that Lisa didn’t have fun while shooting the scenes with her TV twin because she never liked acting with a double. Being her sister was her double, it made it more difficult for her to shoot the scenes. Again Kevin S. Bright added that the stress she put her sister into by being the double was more in her head at the time.

However, Phoebe and Ursula’s scenes served their purpose. That discomfort and awkwardness didn’t disappoint us in the final product and it came out amazing. If there were any awkwardness between them, it was because of the twin relationship. Fortunately for Lisa, the show didn’t include much of Ursula which made it easy for Lisa.

Whatever be the thing about the scenes, we always loved the way Phoebe and Ursula acted. Their relationship was tough but funny at times. They were not the perfect sisters but the way Lisa acted was perfect. If you were asked to select your favorite out of the two, then whom would you like to meet in person?

Do you remember Ross’s son Ben aka Cole Sprouse? Nowadays, he might be best known for his character Jughead Jones in “Riverdale”. However, you may know from his roles in “The Suite Life”, “FRIENDS”, and “Big Daddy”.

It feels like yesterday when Ben was playing pranks on Rachel and meeting the Holiday Armadillo on FRIENDS. And with the blink of an eye, he is now all grown up, or at least the actor who played him is. Cole is now 27 and played Ben when Cole was eight years old. He was in the show from around seasons 6 to 8 on FRIENDS. He was a spirited kid who divided his time between his divorced parents, Ross and Carol aka Jane Sibbett. The latter of whom has since married her wife, Susan aka Jessica Hecht. However, Ross was in an on/off relationship with Jennifer’s character Rachel Green over the years.

Cole Sprouse once appeared on the Drew Barrymore Show and looked back on some of his earliest roles. During the conversation, he shared the new details about working on FRIENDS. Cole revealed the reason behind the hard time he had while working on FRIENDS. And it turned out that he had a huge crush on Jennifer Aniston. This was the reason which made it quite difficult for him to work in front of her.

According to an article on Buzzfeed News, he said, “I was a child. I would stammer a lot, and I would forget my lines.” He added, “I feel like I’d maintain my composure a bit more effectively now, but it was quite difficult when I was a kid.”

Most likely, his crush for Jennifer was not a secret on FRIENDS set. The truth is crew always used to tease him about it. He said, “I was teased a little bit by the crew because they saw it.” He then added, “I would just forget, and be looking at her. But then, the whole world had a crush on Jennifer Aniston.”

Later, Cole got nostalgic about “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”. He revealed that he and his brother Dylan always get asked about the reboot of the show and they always denied. Cole said, “Reboots are a tricky thing, you know? The original shows, when they become successful, sit in this little golden plate of nostalgia.”

Cole went on saying, “When you modernize it and go back to it, it has the potential to really disenfranchise the original fan base. So it’s a very, very touchy thing.” He then confessed, “I am asked all the time if Dylan and I are going to do a Suite Life reboot. And I go, ‘No, absolutely not.'”

Well, we have got our answer. Cole received enormous applause for his roles in ‘Friends’, ‘The Suite Life’, and ‘Big Daddy’.

No matter how many times we watch FRIENDS, there will always be a surprise for us to pick up. And now after 26 years on our screens, when we thought we knew everything about the show, many fans have been left shocked with a big realization.

We realized that during one episode Mathew Perry aka Chandler Bing had his own dad play a character. Matthew’s real-life father, John Bennet Perry who is an actor, made a cameo on “The One With Rachel’s New Dress”. This cameo was aired on season 4, episode 18. The actor appeared as the father of Rachel’s boyfriend Joshua, Mr. Burgin.

Could we BE any more shocked?

In season four, Rachel and her then-boyfriend Joshua go to his parents’ humongous house to spend the evening together. They think they’re all alone. But no, it turns out, his parents have just returned from their holiday. They walk in and find Rachel waiting suggestively on the sofa in a sexy nightdress. Later, it prompts Joshua’s father aka John Bennet Perry to say, “I like her, she seems smart.” To make things worse, she went out for dinner with the whole family wearing that lingerie. Awkward!

Over the years FRIENDS has featured lots of cameos from celebrities, from Reese Witherspoon to Brad Pitt, and the most famous of all was with Danny Devito who played a stripper, named Officer Goodbody. But, somehow one cameo managed to pass us by which has Matthew’s real-life father.

However, when we look back now, the resemblance between them is fantastic. Matthew and John Perry have the same tone of voice, smile, and comedic timing. Well, it took us 100s of re-watches to notice that Joshua’s dad is none other than Matthew’s real-life dad. It’s the only case where a blood relative of one of the cast members appeared in the show, as per our knowledge. Since the father-son duo didn’t share the screen on the show during John’s cameo might be the reason that their connection got missed so easily. But, now you can add it to your FRIENDS encyclopedia.

Frankly, it’s hard to believe that we missed it. They’re practically twins.

Matthew Perry aka Chander is a household name but his father is too well established in Hollywood. For around 40 years, John Bennet Perry appeared in famous comedies such as, “The Sweetest Thing”, “George of the Jungle” including hit TV shows like “Veronica Mars” and the sci-fi classic “Independence Day”. He also played Matthew’s on-screen father on an episode of “Scrubs” and in “Fools Rush In”.

FRIENDS is one of the most famous shows of all time but it is not untouched by flaws. Even with the re-runs running on many channels every day, fans can’t seem to catch the plenty of continuity errors that have in the show.

While making the show, they do multiple takes of the scenes. In editing, they take two different takes and make the final product. And, it results in continuity errors with characters, background, props, and much more little stuff. While those mistakes are rarely enough to change the story of one’s suspension of disbelief but it’s perhaps comforting to know that even big shows like FRIENDS also mess up sometimes.

However, fans don’t always recognize mistakes like this because they’re engrossed in the plot. FRIENDS benefited from this because it featured 10 seasons and 236 episodes of entertaining and hilarious episodes. Some of these mistakes are easy to catch up on when you see them for the second or third time.

“The Last One” – Season 10, Episode 18

Take a look at the last episode when Phoebe and Ross rush to the airport to stop Rachel from going to Paris. Some extras were standing behind them who also appeared behind Rachel in another airport (note the headscarf).

“The One With All The Wedding Dresses” – Season 4, Episode 20

The writing on Magna doodle at Chandler and Joey’s apartment kept changing across the cuts. At first, when Joey was complaining about staying up all night before a sleep clinic, “Get Out” was written on it. However, it changed to “Poop” when Chandler talked about how he cannot dance at weddings and Ross walked in while Chandler was showing Rachel and Joey how he danced. Perhaps it changed to reflect what politeness forbids them telling Ross.

“The One In Vegas” – Season 5, Episode 23

In this episode, Joey tells about his “Hand Twin” to the Chandler. While telling him, he points at Chandler with his left hand, which changes to his right hand in the next shot. Perhaps this episode’s editor had a keen sense of irony.

“The One With George Stephanopoulos” – Season 1, Episode 4

In this scene, Ross, Chandler, and Joey went to attend a Hockey match, where Ross wears a foam finger which later disappears magically. However, that is unfortunate for Ross because foam finger could have cushioned the blow of the puck which hit him later.

“The One Where Ross Finds Out” – Season 2, Episode 7

Rachel was wearing a necklace when she spoke to Monica, Chandler, and Joey about Ross and Julie. But it got disappeared when Ross and Julie announce that they are getting a cat together. However, it re-appeared when Rachel continued to question about them getting a pet. The necklace kept disappearing and reappearing across the cuts in the episode.

“The One With Mugging” – Season 9, Episode 15

In this scene, Joey was raiding Monica and Chandler’s apartment to get something to drink for an audition. However, there was a glimpse of a stand-in along with bottles changing to cans in Joey’s hands. Perhaps Joey had a talent of a magician which he never discovered.

“The One With Rachel’s Inadvertent Kiss” – Season 5, Episode 17

Joey spotted an attractive girl from Monica’s apartment. At times he was wearing a black shirt. He then went across the building of the girl to find her out and he was wearing a purple shirt. Why not? He could have stopped to change his shirt. However, when Ross opens the door, magically he was wearing a black shirt again. More evidence for the Joey the Magician theory.

“The One With The Red Sweater” – Season 8, Episode 2

In the episode, Monica, Phoebe, and Rachel were discussing Rachel’s pregnancy and the father’s identity. As they did, the wrapping paper from Monica’s wedding appeared and disappeared from the box. Monica kept going from being about to rip the paper off the box to sitting in front of a plain brown box. It kept changing throughout the scene, including when Joey joined them in the apartment.

“The One With Rachel’s Date” – Season 8, Episode 5

In this episode, Phoebe dates Monica’s sous-chef Tim and Monica doesn’t fire him for Phoebe’s sake. When Phoebe decides to dump Tim, Monica can finally fire him. However, the edges of the frame were cropped out when FREINDS originally aired while they both were talking about it which revealed that Monica’s stand-in took her place in the scene.

Even if the FRIENDS have many minor mistakes, we still love watching the show, and will always be one of the favorite shows. However, if we miss mentioning any mistake, let us know in the comment section.
