Courteney Cox aka Monica Geller is still one of the most admired characters who got huge success and fame from the FRIENDS show. After that, she appeared in many roles, but nothing seemed to hook us up as Courteney’s character in FRIENDS.
However, on a special episode of the quarantined edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live show, Courteney revealed that she doesn’t remember much about playing the chef Monica Geller in FRIENDS. For which she blamed her bad memory. She says, “I don’t remember even being on the show, I have such a bad memory. I remember obviously loving everybody there and having fun, and I remember certain times of my life. I was there, but I don’t remember episodes.”
Courteney also participated in the YouTube Quarantine Minilogue trivia game. That game was totally based on her character on the show. But she lost terribly to Kimmel’s cousin. She was unable to answer the basic questions about Monica Geller. Later in Kimmel’s interview, she said jokingly that she hates being asked FRIENDS related trivia questions.
Courteney also admitted that she was using her self-isolation to binge-watch the whole show to make up for her bad memory. Courteney said, “I decided during this time you know, people love the show so much, I decided to binge-watch FRIENDS and it’s really good.”
FRIENDS was all set to make a comeback in 2020 on HBO to mark the show’s 26th anniversary. But the Coronavirus lockdown put a stop to the FRIENDS reunion special. And now, as we all can see, that it is taking longer than we have thought.
However, viewers and Jimmy Kimmel got a good laugh at the irony of the situation. Courteney confirmed to have purchased all the seasons of FRIENDS on Amazon Prime and has officially begun binge-watching the show.
FRIENDS first got on the air in 1994 and was based on the six friends going through life’s ups and downs together. Soon the six characters, Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe, and Joey, won our hearts and grabbed attention around the world. It made an impact so deep that it is still on the binge-watch list of many.
Currently, fans are happy to know that the reunion is happening and will be out soon. Lisa recently confirmed in an interview to have started shooting for the reunion. Coming back to Monica, hope she has completed watching the show during the lockdown. We couldn’t get a confirmation about it, but we believe she did complete watching it. Given her reputation as Monica, she will not give up on anything once she commits. Given the upcoming reunion, she must go through the whole series because it will help Courteney bring back the Monica we expect her to be. It’s been years now since she last got into the shoes of Monica, so going back without remembering her past might turn out to be a disaster!
We can only trust Courteney’s words for now and keep our fingers crossed until the reunion comes out. We hope it’s going to be the best thing ever and gives us a reason to cherishing 25 more years with FRIENDS.
FRIENDS Reunion was originally scheduled to be live in 2020, but COVID killed it. At the beginning of 2020, hopes were high, Fans were waiting, and when the reunion got postponed, many hearts ached in unison. Like lockdown wasn’t enough, people had to even give up hopes on the best TV series ever made! Things weren’t easy for fans since there was no surety on when to expect the Reunion. And citing the restrictions imposed back then, it looked impossible to experience a reunion anytime soon.
But luckily, in November 2020, Matthew Perry rekindled hopes in everyone when he tweeted about the rescheduled Reunion. He didn’t give us a date but hinted at March. It surely gave us hope that yes we will watch it someday! And that hope meant a lot to keep us going and happy.
Again things sparked up when Lisa Kudrow disclosed some details about the reunion while talking to Rob Lowe on his show. This happened a few days back in January 2021 making the year look good for FRIENDS Fans. She first confirmed that the reunion is real and is happening. She discussed a few details about it to keep us excited but for a few, it turned out to be disappointing. Some had expressions like the one below after reading Lisa Kudrow’s statements about the FRIENDS Reunion.
These were the words from Lisa that excited and devasted fans at the same time: “There’s different facets to it, and we already shot packages of things,” Kudrow shared. “I pre-shot something already so we’re definitely doing it, because I already shot a little something.”
After reading the above words some might be confused as to why the fans went upset. We will surely disclose the reason but before that, have a look at a few more lines said by Lisa to direct us what to expect from the special.
“It’s not a reboot. It’s not like a scripted thing, we’re not portraying our characters. It’s us getting together, which just doesn’t happen a lot and has never happened in front of other people since 2004 when we stopped.”
In case if you haven’t spotted the catch yet, you too are going to be disturbed after a few moments if you too hold high hopes from the reunion.
As described by Kudrow, the reunion won’t be an extended episode of the existing episodes of FRIENDS. The cast won’t be playing the characters in the special and that alone is wrenching everyone’s heart. Many fans wished to see the characters of Joey, Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, Chandler, and Monica come back in life. They assumed that though old, they would come back to town and meet in at Central Perk to relive those old days. Some fans even assumed that they might meet a grown-up Emma and other grown-up kids raised by the original cast.
A few years back, debates also saw fans coming in with hopes as high as the Kids of the original cast might sweep in the next season of FRIENDS. But all this is not happening, so a major backlash for such fans. Lisa made it clear that the original cast would meet but it won’t be a scripted show. Rather, they would meet and discuss things like good old friends do. Indeed, we haven’t seen them all together for a while and they are going to create that moment for us.
So start imagining a show where you will see the real characters and not the reel characters. Some fans were worried that the reunion might be something like a ZOOM Call but that doesn’t seem true. Yes, Lisa mentioned a few parts already and probably she did it alone. This brings in the fear of a ZOOM Reunion but we don’t believe it’s true.
The creators of FRIENDS and nor the characters themselves would be ready to disappoint to the core by doing a ZOOM Call meeting. We might see some individual clips recorded at different locations. We are guessing that the beginning of the reunion would be something like:
Six of them get on a call after their daily life, and on that call, they all decide to meet somewhere. And maybe the show is planning to give some insights about their daily life and also everyone’s verdict as to how excited they are about the meet and why they didn’t do it yet.
If Lisa recorded a few packets already then chances are she has only recorded her own verdict which will be showcased just before the cast comes in on live TV.
So fans who are disappointed, let’s not lose hope and enjoy the reunion that we are going to get in a few months now. I know it’s not the best that you imagined but trust me, it’s for the best! It would be really hard for the cast to recreate those good old characters and justify them completely. So it’s better to not do it and ruin the characters forever. But what they have done till 2004 is a wonderful thing and it’s better to keep that heritage safe than to ruin it.

In 2017, Matthew told Variety, “When I’m asleep, I have this nightmare that we do Friends again and nobody cares. We do a whole series, we come back, and nobody cares about it. So if anybody asks me, I’m gonna say no. The thing is: We ended on such a high. We can’t beat it. Why would we go and do it again?” But things have changed lately and Matthew was the one who announced the rescheduled reunion on his Twitter handle. But if it was upon us, how would you like to see your favorite characters? FRIENDS co-creator Marta Kauffman has a view about what the characters would be doing today. And here we have tried to present something similar to delight the true FRIENDS Fans.
Despite being a big-hearted and loving person, he was the only one who ended up alone. Fans were even disappointed that he didn’t end up with anybody. But now we have a piece of good news. Reportedly, Kauffman said in an interview, “Joey, I think, has six kids. I think he’s married and has six kids.” So, Joey did eventually settled down. Sounds logical for someone who had so many flings because after an age people get tired of monotonous life and try to settle for something new. Also, towards the end, he was looking for someone to settle with for life. There were times when he tried for Rachel, but sadly that didn’t work out either. So it’s good to believe he finally found someone to settle with for life.
Although Ross & Rachel was the favorite couple, Monica and Chandler won fans with their mature, sensible, and stable relationship. Their surprising love story took a beat and made it’s way to our hearts. However, in the beginning, Monica spent 10 years waiting to be a mother while Chandler overcame his commitment issues. Even after getting married to each other, they struggled to have a baby. Finally, in the last season, they adopted, and it was so beautiful. When asked Marta about their future, she said, “I think Monica and Chandler are together. They have twins. They’re doing great.” Amazing. Isn’t it? It’s a life we wish for the duo because they defined love in a modern and mature manner.
Phoebe And Mike Would Have Fostered Or Adopted Kids
We all know about Phoebe’s childhood struggle. Despite her unusual upbringing, she kept her faith in relationships and married Mike. She was the most dynamic and free-spirited character of the show. About her future in the show Marta assures fans, “Phoebe and Mike are still together. Phoebe and Mike are definitely still together. And they have either adopted or fostered children.”
Sounds exactly like Phoebe because she is the best person we have ever met. She knows pain but knows how to come over it and lead a better life. She is kind enough to help people and adopting children to give them a better home is something Phoebe would be excited to do always. And Mike is a sweetheart who would always support his wife to be good and do good.
Ross And Rachel Are Still Together
The series ended with Rachel choosing Ross instead of the new job in Paris. So, would the couple still be together? As per Marta, “I think Ross and Rachel are still together and, Emma’s in therapy!” The duo was constantly on-again and off-again relationship, which continued even after their marriage. Despite that, they would be trying to work things out. However, because of that, according to Marta, Emma sees a therapist. Poor Emma!
Though hard to picture it, but in the real world, this happens often. Only love is not everything, couples need a lot more to make things work. They loved each other dearly, but their struggle was more than that. And it makes sense to believe that Ross and Rachel faced problems in their relationship, and it affected their little child(who is no more a child).
Not all endings are happy endings, but we learn to live with it, and that’s life. FRIENDS has always shown us what real life can be, and here too, we see a harsh reality of society, which we often tend to ignore.

Kudrow Says She Won’t Watch Re-runs Of FRIENDS

In the interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said, “I don’t watch it if it’s on. I might not like myself on the show, so I’d rather not risk that.” Her behavior seems strange, but again that’s Phoebe we are talking about, so it’s cool. She is so weird in real life that she doesn’t even remember the last time when she watched it.
What Kudrow Thinks Of Buffay
As per Kudrow, she likes Phoebe and doesn’t see her as an unintelligent person. Rather, she thinks, Phoebe just sees the world differently. She also added that Phoebe was a nice person and was fiery. She was always honest with her loved ones and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, even when her opinions have a good chance of being ridiculed by others. It is just that she has a unique approach to life. Well, that is what we too love about Phoebe the most. And her ideologies and life are something people can admire!
Kudrow Dealt With Body Image Issues During FRIENDS
Kudrow revealed during a podcast with Marc Maron about her struggle with body image on the set of FRIENDS. It was because of her height. We know she was taller and bigger than her co-stars, Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston, sadly it became a reason for her insecurity. She felt like a “Mountain of Woman” and was pretty uncomfortable about it. She also shared to Marc that at one point in time, she was so thin that she would often fall sick for one reason or another. Poor Phoebe!
In an interview with Variety, Kudrow said, “Oh, it was such hard work for 10 years. It’s not that. It was that I know that show worked because we all committed to each other too. It wasn’t just committing to a role, committing to a contract. We all still love each other.” She also added, “Our cast is like that, and that’s why that worked. I think part of me died. I can’t do that again.” That really is true because on TV we haven’t seen any other group so close. They didn’t have to act for the series but they were just living a life on the sets.
Being a part of such a great show for so long left a significant impact on Kudrow. It was really difficult for her to leave the show and later, after a long gap going into the same shoes is difficult. We all understand her situation, but it is not gonna stop us from waiting for the FRIENDS reunion. We know she would love it too because it would be like regaining a lost life.
The famous TV sitcom FRIENDS, from which Jennifer Aniston was earning $1million per episode towards the end of the show, last premiered in 2004. It’s the role that made Jennifer Aniston aka Rachel Green, famous, but in an interview, the actress has confessed that ten years of playing Rachel Green may have hindered her career in parts.
While interviewing with Empire Magazine, she said, “It’s a blessing and a curse. It gave us everything but also gives you more of a challenge, to shape people’s perceptions of you.” She added by saying, “It’s ‘Matthew is Chandler Bing and Jennifer is Rachel Green’, so it’s hard for people to even believe that we’re playing other people. It is really nice to have your co-stars as your friends who understand you and be with you in every thicks and thins of life and have got your back too. The group doesn’t meet much after the show ended, but the girls managed to meet on several occasions. Earlier, in an interview with Empire Magazine, Jennifer said, “Matty and Matt we see. Schwimmer’s out in New York, so we don’t see him that much, actually. But yeah, it’s something where we know that if we all got in a room together we’d pick up right where we left off.”

FRIENDS got premiered in 1994. Today even after more than one and a half-decade, we still feel like we are in the first stage of grief that it ended. With this rock-solid goodwill of favorite sitcom, FRIENDS will always be the show that made us realize the genuine bond of friendship. It’s not a surprise why we love and wish to binge-watch the show over and over again. It’s difficult to think of a show which is more popular than FRIENDS. However, besides talking about how Ross and Rachel were great together, the fans are also obsessed with one more thing: FRIENDS reboot.
While promoting a new TV project at Howard Stern’s Sirius XM Radio, Jennifer Aniston aka Rachel was asked the same question that the cast has faced in almost every single interview, “When the FRIENDS reboot will happen?” To which she said, “I really think there is an idea if there is a reboot of the show, it won’t even be close to as good as it was. So, why do it? It would ruin it.” It is a similar response recited by almost the whole cast when asked about a reunion.
If we analyze why the reunion is not something that the cast was excited about in the past, then the answer would be the finale of the show. The finale is a setback in itself because it feels perfect and is something that most fans have made peace with. Everyone in the show ended up with who they wanted to be, so there is the feeling of this sad yet happy closure. So it might not be a great idea to mess with it. Also, the series finale made it clear that friends won’t be living across the hall anymore. Since they all had moved away, this would make the reboot confusing. It doesn’t sound well. Right? Well, bringing them back in those same apartments too doesn’t make sense.
Marta Kauffman, the creator of the show once said while talking to Variety, “One of the reasons we won’t do a reunion is because this is a show about a time in your life when your friends are your family. And when you have a family, that changes.” The series was great and unique because unmarried characters chose their own “family”, which made it beautiful.
A FRIENDS fan on Quora made a fair point, “Ross and Rachel may have married and now Emma will have become older. So, we won’t see the couple’s on again – off again romance.” Usually, the reboots focus on the kids of the characters, but with FRIENDS in the picture, it doesn’t feel right at all.
Our sarcasm king, Chandler Bing shared some bad dreams he had about the FRIENDS reboot. In conversation with Variety, he said, “I have this recurring nightmare. I’m not kidding about this. When I’m asleep, I have this nightmare that we do “Friends” again and nobody cares.” This thought might have planted in him because he knows he created a legacy and carrying it forward would be a humongous task. He also added by saying, “So if anybody asks me, I’m gonna say no.”
But recently, Matthew was the one who announced the Reunion Reschedule so he seems pretty excited. But back in time, he was the one who was hell scared about it. His worries are genuine because recreating those characters won’t be possible on their part, given their age and change in personality.
Maybe the reunion is happening sometime soon but we can’t expect them to recreate those characters. Rather we will see a show where the cast meets and discuss their lives, their experiences, and more. Maybe they will try to play a part or two for our happiness, but it won’t be a show where you will see the same old cute Joey or an organized Monica.
Let’s also not forget how terribly the attempt to make a spin-off, Joey failed. It was a famous misfire that was pulled back mid-air before it could showcase all the episodes. It didn’t damage the original show much, maybe because it was so unforgettable. In conversation with Variety, Marta Kauffman said, “We did the show we wanted to do. We got it right and we put a bow on it.” Now when we think of it like that, why would they make a reboot?
It is really a big deal that FRIENDS was on air for 10 long years, and till now it is so successful. FRIENDS is considered one of the best-crafted shows of its time and even today. And that’s really amazing! In coming times the creators have finally planned to rock the boat and try making something good out of it. As a FRIENDS fan personally, I am excited about it a lot. Even a glimpse of the whole cast together can do wonders for fans.
It will be really cool to see the cast coming together and reviving their characters, even though for a moment. I know we can’t raise our hopes too high because they have already given us the best they could, and we are reliving it every day when we binge-watch the show. When we talk about FRIENDS, we certainly can’t miss out our one of the favorite characters from the show, Ross Geller. Besides being an amazing friend, he is also a supporting brother, an understanding ex-husband, and the biggest romantic psycho of the gang. He is the smartest one in the group but a total freak too.
Every group of friends has a character like Ross who thinks he is the smartest guy and the nicest person, even though his actions often say otherwise. And, if you relate to these signs, you probably are the Ross Geller of your gang:
If you love something, you don’t do it halfway. You are totally passionate about it. Be it dinosaurs or Greek philosophy, when it comes to it, you come off as a complete nerd to your friends.
Grammar Nazi
If you have the compulsive need to correct other people’s grammar, then you are the Ross of the group. Mostly you do it in your head, but there are times when you just can’t hold it back anymore.
You are a die-hard romantic person, but you don’t seem to be fortunate enough when it comes to romance. God forbid! But chances are you probably married a gay or messed up your own wedding. In case, if you haven’t done it yet, then at least you are better than the actual Ross Geller.
Stubborn As Hell
You never put your foot down on what you believe or said. It is annoying as hell and might get you into loads of trouble, but you will never budge and always stick to it. If you have a habit like this, then boy, you are definitely Ross!
Loves Music But Terrible At It
If you love music and even tried your hand at some instruments but probably suck at it, then you are, you know it! Maybe you even tried to sing along while playing but nope, no luck there too. But it’s ok, you tried. If not a musician, you could at least be the Ross of your group.
Remember the “You ate my Sandwich” episode? If you are like that, then beware. You are usually a nice person, but when it comes to your temper tantrum, people prefer to stay clear of your rage zone. Because you are damn possessive about your stuff. A little bit of tantrum is fine but a level when even a sandwich can make you that angry is horrible.
You are an amazing person to hang out with, but living with you might turn out as a nightmare. You have certain standards which you can’t compromise, and you can’t help it either. Your standards might at times cost you a pissed off roommate as well, but that’s ok for you. In case, if you are relating yourself to Ross but haven’t experienced this point yet, then think of the last time you were staying with someone. Did he ever try to kick you out politely, just like Chandler and Joey did?
Relationship Guru
If you are like Ross, then probably you suck at relationships. But it won’t be a surprise to know that you are good at giving good relationship advice. Because your bad experiences count. You know the tricky parts and slippery slopes of maneuvering a relationship. And, you are the one who always helps your buddies out.
Total Smartass
If you are the smartest in the school and the most educated and cultured among your friends, then you are the Ross of your group. However, the only annoying thing about it is that you NEVER let them forget how smartass you are. Chill Ross, you don’t have to prove yourself always!
You might be a total freak or annoyingly smartass, but just like Ross Geller, your gang knows that you are a great friend. You are the one whom they count on during the tough times. And sometimes they might search for you for some laughs, but you know, that would be rare because Chandler’s got the show there.
NBC’s hit sitcom FRIENDS is still marking its presence in people’s hearts. Watching the show makes us realize why having friends is necessary. It makes us crave for life so perfect! Wish we could have a Monica who would love to host us every day. Or a Joey who would take us to a strip joint after a breakup. The life we see in FRIENDS looks so perfect that we seem to forget it’s just a scripted show.
Scripts can make things look perfect, but if I say that there were many moments in FRIENDS that were unscripted, would you believe it? Of course, you would because they acted so real that every unscripted moment went unnoticed! They were not playing the characters rather they were the characters!
It’s no surprise that the one thing which made it so amazing is its rawness and chemistry between the characters. However, many moments that came out to be the most hilarious ones are unplanned, or you can say unscripted. They were not removed but made a part of television history because they were simply too good.
Let’s look at those moments which were unscripted but became memorable:
Remember? When Ross on the aisle with Emily, mistakenly said: “Rachel”, instead of “Emily” while taking vows. Well, that was an awkward moment for every FRIENDS fan, but it was very much in the script. So what’s so special in here? Actually, this big twist was inspired by a scene they were shooting earlier. Ross happened to say Rachel instead of Emily, and there it all started! The creators removed the mistake at that moment, but they registered it in their minds. The twist was so good that the writers thought to put it for later use. And we all know how creatively they used it later.
The six characters usually hang out at the Central Perk. That is the only place we usually saw them hanging out apart from the two apartments they had. So, in the last episode, when they were all leaving Monica and Chandler’s apartment, Rachel suggests grabbing a cup of coffee. And that, as per the plan, should have been the end. But Chandler couldn’t help but ad-libbed the sarcastic response of “Sure, where?”
In one of the memorable episode of FRIENDS, “The One Where No One’s Ready”, Joey and Chandler fight over a chair. During that scene, Joey seriously got hurt in real, and obviously, it was not in the script. The injury required him to wear an arm sling, even while shooting the next episode. So in the later episodes, it was written that Joey hurt himself while jumping on the bed.
The episode where Ross throws his dummy down the stairs to scare Rachel was actually not scripted, at least for Rachel. Producers wanted a genuine reaction out of Rachel, and they planned it this way. The creators got the shot right, but Jennifer panicked at the sight, and shouted, “Oh my god, David!” It was an expected reaction as they have a real-life off the camera. So the line was later dubbed as, “Oh my god, Ross!”
When Paolo came into Rachel’s life in the show, writers were confused about whether they should try and write actual Italian lines or just let the actor, Cosimo Fusco improvise his Italian dialogues. Overcoming the conflict, they chose the latter one and let Paolo speak his own lines. While talking to Today, Fusco revealed that everything he said in Italian was ad-libbed.
Donald’s Trump Blue Blazer, Black?
A hilarious episode where Chandler mistakenly says, “Donald Trump wants his blue blazer black” instead of “Back” was too weird. Just after he said it wrong, we saw everybody making fun of him. Well, neither the directors asked Chandler to say, “Blue Blazer Black” nor did they ask the rest cast to tease Chandler. But they worked as a team or rather a group of Friends who started teasing Chandler. It was so beautiful that it couldn’t be edited.
Earlier in the show, after the divorce with Carol, Ross was struggling to move on. Hope you remember the scene where Ross, for the last time, requests Carol to come back. Jane Sibbet, the actor who played the role of Carol, couldn’t resist but actually cried at the tenderness of Ross’s words and character. Perry modeled in one of the t-shirts when the actor announced the new line on Instagram. It features a cartoon drawing of his character dancing (the one where Chandler describes he can’t even dance at weddings) with the slogan, “Could this BE anymore of a t-shirt?” In the picture, he used a banana as a telephone, and joked about it by saying, “the banana is not included in the order.” Like we didn’t know! And they get bumped more than they go on an actual date. So, if the show airs now, it would be more of a depressing reality show from which you could relate too much. Just because it touched the same topics, but differently, we can relate to it and at the same time make humor out of it. But too much truth and reality can be depressing at times.
The same show, if aired today, would be annoying and irritating. It might not stay as hilarious as we know it today. It would not have the same feel and experience as before. Something will be off for you, and you won’t be able to point your finger on it. This is a show which is based on the 90s theme. In the 20th Century, we are surrounded by content like these, and it would have definitely lost its charm.
Also, few elements in the show, like live audience sound and imagery in a single set, can be off-putting for many viewers.
Phoebe is one of the best characters in the show, and we love her. She is quirky, she is hilarious, and she is absolutely amazing. Her fans love her because she doesn’t seem to care what others think, and she stays true to herself. Right?

Few plot lines in the show are unpredictable, and we love it. We hardly expected Chandler and Monica to get together. Also, we didn’t expect Rachel to fall for Ross and ditch her job in Paris back then.
But today, you can expect such a twist and plotlines because it has become common and kind of cheesy. Back then, we were amazed and excited, but today it might bore new viewers. So the time when the show was released was magic as well. Else today, it might not be able to do the same magic.
When the show was aired in the 90s, spoilers hardly existed. But now, they are plenty, and it gets difficult to stay safe. Friends TV Show has small and cute elements of surprise which once revealed, is done forever. Can you imagine learning about Rachel carrying Ross’s child before you watched it for yourself? It would have really destroyed the fun.
In FRIENDS, we love it when all the six characters hang out in the Coffee Shop where Rachel and Joey once worked for a short time. The nostalgia linked to Central Perk and the Orange couch would be missing if the show gets aired today. Moreover, we doubt if Central Perk would be the same. Rather, it would have grown to be some other modern cafe near your house. It would have been a bar or any hipster café. The nostalgia linked to the show makes it even more special in today’s time.
Joey Would Be Too Dumb

We all love Joey and his cute dumbness. But writers were super careful and made sure that he is still a caring and compassionate person. He would never hurt anybody and would not do anything wrong. However, if the show would have aired now, he would look unnaturally dumb.
If modified for today, the creators might have no other choice than to change Joey’s character. Thereby, Joey would not be the same cute person as we know him.
Monica is lovely but a control freak as well. She can be super caring, and even though. Also, she can be kind of annoying sometimes. Monica’s character might get ruined if the show was aired today. In today’s world, where everyone is fighting for gender rights, it’s not possible to overrule the opposite gender. So the result would be a Monica whom most people might not like.
The best thing about the show is that it makes us nostalgic. There are no slang, no obsession with social media, and no advanced phones. They have just each other and hang out all the time in Central Perk. This all would be gone if the show would have aired today. It will miss that old-school vibe.

FRIENDS is not a discriminating show. It enjoys that girls and guys hang out together in one big group, which is amazing. However, if the show would have aired today, the scenario would be totally different. Probably, the gang would have teased Ross for his divorces. Or no one would have teased Chandler or his father.
On several occasions, the sitcom somehow talks about the differences between men and women. For instance, the time when they were all playing games. If aired today, any discrimination would be off the table. We know it was all done on a lighter note but still not suitable for today’s world.
Ross and Rachel had an on and off relationship that we enjoyed watching. And the fun part about their romance is that they were on a break. This plotline kept us glued to the show, and things got interesting with the twists and turn along the way. Unfortunately, if FRIENDS was on the air today, this relationship would not have stayed the same. Either they would have broken up forever after Ross went with the other girl, or they would not have thought about going on break. In today’s world, breaks are not quite common in relationships. Or is it?

There she was a little girl of 9 years, who came in as a trick or treater at the Halloween party. She was the lucky one who got a cheque from Rachel after she ran out of candies and cash. After appearing in the show, she soon became the talk of the daily household.

After FRIENDS, she was seen in ‘X-Men original’ as ‘Mystique’, ‘The Librarians’ and many more.

He was not a familiar face and definitely not an Oscar winner when he appeared in FRIENDS. Back then, he was just a nervous passenger sitting next to Rachel Green who freaked out when he overheard the conversation between Rachel and Phoebe. The reason for him to freak out was lame. He believed the plane didn’t have a left-phalange! Later in life, he became a famous writer and won the Oscar for the film ‘The Descendents’.
Melora Hardin
The one where she was attacked by Ross’s pet monkey, Marcel.
Melora Hardin did a couple of shows before showing up in FRIENDS but she got her fame after the show, The Office. In this list, this might be the funniest cameo where we saw her as one of Ross’ date. In between their date, Marcel – Ross’s pet monkey, attacked her. Also later she tried to get Ross talking dirty to her which was a funny disaster. After FRIENDS, she was seen in shows like The Bold Type.

She played the character of Kathy, Joey’s girlfriend. Eventually, Chandler and Kathy fell in love and she broke up with Joey.
