In one of the classic sitcoms FRIENDS, Chandler and Ross were portrayed as two guys who were losers when it comes to women, while Joey due to his impressive skills in wooing women, got all the women. It is quite easy to hate Julie because she came into the life of Ross when Rachel and Ross could have finally been together. Otherwise, she was a nice, fun, and cool person. She understood Ross and his love for Rachel. However, after knowing that Rachel likes him, Ross broke up with Julie. But honestly, they would have been a great couple. Anyway, it all worked out in the end as she falls for Russ.

4. Kate (Joey – Season 3)

Kate was the first true love interest Joey had. She came across as a very selfish person because to influence her career she liked to be with men in a position of power. However, we finally saw Joey get a real storyline due to his interest in her and evolve in the mindset of a lover. Kate tried to be more pleasant in return to Joey did to have Kate see how genuinely he liked her. They both got together but unfortunately, her career still mattered more to her by the end.

5. Charlie (Joey And Ross – Seasons 9-10)

Joey could have done something with some smarts in his life. He also had a chance when he was dating Charlie. Later, she jumped from Joey to Ross to her former love interest. However, the good thing with Joey and Charlie was that we had some funny moments when Joey tried to fit in with a so much smarter woman than him. Charlie might have liked Joey better if Ross wasn’t around.

6. Emily (Ross – Seasons 4-5)

Emily was a fun person until Ross take Rachel’s on the aisle, instead of her. Their love was energetic, fresh, and spontaneous. Also, she was the girl Ross asked to marry after Carol. However, later she became prissy. Otherwise, she was one of the best girlfriends.

7. Susie Moss (Chandler – Season 2)

Susie was one of our favorite guest appearances who came to take her revenge of high school from Chandler. She let him believe that she’s all over him. Later, he ends up naked in a bathroom stall of a restaurant. But while they were together, it was so much to watch them together.

8. Erin (Joey – Season 7)

Erin was a fun person who shared Joey’s interests and had his habit of dumping lovers quickly. She was basically Joey in the female form which was the only problem with Erin. Erin was a breezy character who was full of life and liked to make others laugh, and Joey certainly came to know that. Erin can certainly be the character would’ve lasted longer, if the actress not been there just for a guest appearance and not been given a rather lame exit. There was easily a good connection between Joey and Erin.

9. Elizabeth (Ross – Season 6)

The way Ross and Elizabeth get excited about the word “taboo” was amazing. Being a student, she was quite mature of her age. She tried various times for his father to like Ross and in the end, she also fought for him. But Ross’s insecurities came in between them and they broke up.

10. Mona (Ross – Season 8)

While dating, Mona’s tolerance and patience with Ross should probably be congratulated. She was even okay with Rachel’s pregnancy and Ross being the father. She was one of the most mature girlfriends Ross ever had.

11. Kristen (Ross And Joey – Season 7)

Kristen herself seems like quite a nice girl. But, Joey and Ross fight over her to the extent that she ends up just leaving. She was trying to understand both of them but they scared her out by fighting. However, she would have been a nice and understanding girlfriend.

Aurora is fascinating. She was Italian, fought as an Israeli soldier, and was polyamorous. As Chandler said, he gets all the fun parts and no responsibilities. It is every guy’s dream. But somewhere down the line, it became too much for him because he wanted more. So, even being in a fun relationship, he broke up with her.

13. Cecilia Monroe (Joey – Season 7)

Cecilia was the only woman who understood Joey’s love for acting. She also understood that how hard he is trying to reconcile his career opportunities with all his feelings of guilt for stealing Cecilia’s role. She became a sort of mentor for him in the acting department and had an intense connection where the attraction was concerned. It went further because Joey was the first person who got Cecilia to open up and encouraged her to follow her opportunities. 1. Susan Sarandon

Susan Sarandon played the part of Cecilia Monroe in season seven. In the show, she was an actress on “The Days Of Our Lives” with the character of Jessica Lockhart who dies off the soap opera. Joey as Dr. Drake Ramoray takes up Jessica’s character as her brain was set to get implanted in Ramoray’s brain. Her short appearance in the show was quite remarkable and her unexpected chemistry with Joey made her a hit in the show.

2. Billy Crystal and Robin Williams

Robin Williams and Billy Crystal made an unforgettable impression in season three. In this episode, they loudly burst into Central Perk. They ask the group to move over the couch and interrupt their conversation. Well, then the gang couldn’t help but overhear their conversation because it surely was quite intriguing. While talking with his friend, Williams character suspects his wife is sleeping with someone else and it is none other than Crystal’s character with whom she is sleeping with. They made a strange but hilarious appearance which was loved by everyone.

You might be shocked to know that their appearance was not even in the scripts but was totally impromptu. It happened to be that the duo was in the same building or somewhere nearby shooting for some other film. The writers of FRIENDS asked them for a guest appearance which they didn’t deny and the result is with us.

3. Charlie Sheen

“Two and a Half Men” star, Charlie Sheen appeared as one of Phoebe’s former flames in season two. He is a sailor who only sees Phoebe every few years when he returns back from his submarine. When she came to know that he’s coming, Phoebe starts arranging romantic activities for the two of them. However, it all came down with chickenpox at the last minute. Despite that, the sailor manages to have a romantic-itchy visit.

4. George Clooney and Noah Wyle

Clooney was a megastar at that time because of the mega-hit “E.R”. He was playing the character of Dr. Doug Ross with Noah Wyle, who played Dr. John Carter in the show. It appeared that they couldn’t leave their characters behind while coming into FRIENDS show as they appeared as doctors Mitchell and Rosen. Rachel somehow twisted her ankle and switched names with Monica to use her insurance. The episode became even more intense when the guys came in to meet them at the girl’s apartment. We all know how things ended up after that.

5. Hugh Laurie

Rachel was on her way on the flight in season four to try and stop Ross and Emily’s wedding. She was a chatty and nervous wreck at that time and was sitting next to Hugh Laurie. He was a man on a flight from New York to London. Rachel was narrating her version of the breakup with Ross and after hearing all her blabber he puts forward his views that they were clearly on a break. From a passenger’s point of view, Laurie had a horrible flight while sitting next to Rachel but all this unpleasantness was worth for us because we couldn’t help stop our laugh.

6. Alec Baldwin

Over the course of two episodes, Alec Baldwin plays Parker in the eighth season of the series who was an overly enthusiastic guest at the Gellars’ 35th wedding anniversary party. He, by the way, came with Phoebe. Parker, being over-enthusiastic goes around complimenting everything he sees and every person he meets. But eventually, his over-the-top antics become irritating to all of the other partygoers.

7. Jennifer Coolidge

Jennifer Coolidge donned a terrible fake British accent to play Amanda in season ten. She played the character of an old friend of Phoebe and Monica. After growing tired of her attitude, they try to phase her out. Well, it doesn’t go smoothly and Amanda ends up causing a fight between the two. Her character is so nasty that you just can’t help but love to hate her.

8. Julia Roberts

Chandler’s past comes back to haunt him in season two in the form of Julia Roberts as Susie “Underpants” Moss. They attended the same school as a child and she still remembers the time when he pulled down her pants in front of the whole school. She pretends to forgive Chandler for that and agrees to go on a date with him. Later, she tricked him in a restaurant and makes things embarrassing for him. And finally, that is how she takes her long-awaited revenge.

9. Danny DeVito

Danny DeVito appeared as a 50-year-old performer who Monica and Rachel hire last minute for Phoebe’s party. Later, the three of them question his abilities and he ends up dissolving into tears. Later, Phoebe insists he finish his eccentric dance because of the guilty feeling.

10. Winona Ryder

Winona Ryder is “The Stranger Things” star. She appeared in the season seven episode “The One with Rachel’s Big Kiss”. She played the character of Rachel’s college friend, Melissa Warburton who accidentally bumped into Rachel in Central Perk. In college days, Rachel kissed Melissa after getting drunk but Rachel was disappointed to hear Melissa forgot about it. So, Rachel kissed her again to prove her point to Phoebe. Later, Melissa revealed that she remembers everything and is in love with Rachel.

11. Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon is an Oscar winner celebrity who appeared in two consecutive seasons in six episodes. She played the character of Rachel’s (Jennifer Aniston) sister, Jill Green. She set her eyes on Rachel’s soulmate Ross Geller (David Schwimmer). Maybe that is why her character was not for long in the show.

12. Paul Rudd

Paul Rudd played the character of Phoebe’s love interest, Mike Hannigan. She finally gets her happily ever after with him. During an 18-episode stint on Season 9 and 10, Mike meets Phoebe, and the two kick off a serious relationship. Later. they break up due to different views on marriage but ended up getting back together. And, they get married after several failed proposals.

13. Christina Applegate

Christina Applegate played Rachel’s sister Amy in seasons nine and ten. She’s just as self-involved and absurdly shallow as Jill. She constantly calls her niece Emma the wrong name and also mocks Joey’s eating habits. Amy ends up getting the baby’s ears pierced without anyone’s permission when Rachel allows her to babysit Emma.

14. Bruce Willis

For his work on Season 6 of FRIENDS, Bruce Willis won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. He played the role of the father of Ross’ student girlfriend Elizabeth, Paul Stevens, who does not approve of the match. He interrupts their escape by showing up with Rachel to his cabin. Paul starts dancing and singing in front of the mirror to get ready for a night with Rachel. Ross catches him doing that and uses it to his benefit.

15. Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt made the most memorable guest star appearance in season eight in the series. Pitt played Ross’s best friend, Will Colbert from high school. He counted Rachel as his biggest enemy and his hatred was so deep that he started a rumor in high school that she was a hermaphrodite. If you don’t know, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were actually married at the time of his appearance on the show.

1. Monica’s Attitude

Monica Geller has given us many amazing moments in the show from “Monana” to that weird carrot thing, but we cannot ignore the fact that she is a neurotic control freak. Remember the time when she thought that her maid stole from her? She just assumed that because she was a maid. And not just that, she freaked out when Rachel moved the green ornament just to clean the apartment and make Monica happy. Monica also pushed Chandler to spend all his money for their wedding and later didn’t wait for Chandler to open the presents. This shows that how selfishly self-centered she was. Well, the list of Monica’s attitude goes on. We understand that it’s a show but such an attitude isn’t good for the people around. Though it made us laugh but didn’t seem so good.

2. Ross Is a Cheater With Everything Else

When we talk about Ross, “We were on a break!” instantly comes to our mind as a laughable joke. But it is so overly used that nobody laughed with the laugh track. Well, even if we ignore this one, what about Ross cheating on Julie and Bonnie? Would we just ignore that because they were not Rachel? This implies that Ross is a cheater. Ross also dated his student and violated academic integrity. Maybe that is why people made videos of Ross’s worst behavior on Youtube without the laughing tracks. He surely sounds like a psychopath without the laugh track.

3. Joey Gets Dumber

Joey Tribbiani was a likable guy who managed to make jokes and lets a couple of chuckles out of the audience when FRIENDS began. But slowly, he turned into a dumb person by the end of the finale. There was the time when Joey appeared on a game show and appeared a complete fool. For the question “What do you put in your coffee?”, he guessed, “A ghost! A rock! A dog! The earth!”. Also, when Joey told Chandler that he had to eat all of their food because the fridge broke and he didn’t know “what was in that brown jar.” Sure, some of the moments are hilarious but still it makes Joey dumb in the show.

4. Phoebe And Joey Doesn’t Seem Broke

Joey was a struggling actor almost throughout the show and Phoebe did random ill-paid gigs through which they shouldn’t be able to support themselves at all. But, it appears exactly the opposite in the show. It was shown sometimes that Chandler was paying the bills of Joey but what about Phoebe? Who was paying her bills? Between their parties, their constant drinking at Central Perk, and many other activities none of them would be able to live the life they were living.

5. Rachel Sabotages Other’s Lives For Her Own Benefit

Rachel consistently sabotaged other’s lives for her own benefit. It shows that how insecure and terrible a friend she was. She never accepted a competition and did what would be considered abusive behavior today. She gave Ross the worst advice so that Julie will break up with him. She encouraged Bonnie to shave her head and Ross to behave the way she wants. She spread a rumor about his assistant Tag that he was gay so that she can hit on him. She always sabotaged other’s relationships or love lives to turn it her own way.

6. Joey Sabotages His Student

Joey decided to sabotage the acting career of his own student to get the part was too much. Being a teacher he should be excited enough to see his students achieve something but he gloated about it. While sabotaging his student’s career, Joey appeared homophobic in the process. Joey asked the student to play boxer as a man with feminine characters, just because he thinks such people can’t be boxers. But fortunately, the student got the part and the joke was on him.

7. Ross’s Attitude Towards Gender

Ross was the most forward thinker and intellectual of the group. But, he can be quite a se*ist too. From Ben wanting to play with barbies to hiring a male nanny, he appeared as a person who could easily stereotype and discriminate against people. He just did not want Ben to play with barbies because he assumed that his son will also turn out to be someone like his mom and was also against hiring a male nanny, “Manny” just because it is a girl’s job, not the guy’s one. Some people still think it is funny but I am sorry, it is not.

8. Joey Is Sleazy

Joey is funny and cute but he is a total sleazeball who imagines having a relationship with his best female friends. It’s definitely not cute to accept a woman as your roommate just in the hope to get in her pants at some point. Joey’s character would be more respectful towards women if FRIENDS were remade today. Sure, he would be handsome and cute, but will also treat women the way they deserve.

9. Joey Got Teased For Liking Girly Stuff

Joey’s man bag would have been embraced if he had supportive friends who didn’t tease him for liking girly stuff. Joey always got teased for using a girl’s bag or using makeup or doing eyebrows. And it happened at a time when people only thought of Billie Joe Armstrong and Marilyn Manson wearing it. Even if it does not matter, it is just the opposite of cool to make fun of your friend’s life choices.

10. Monica’s Body-Shaming

“Fat Monica” was a joke that ran time and again in the series. Unfortunately, it will be widely accepted today also, but there will be more disapproving ears. While they were watching Monica and Rachel’s prom video, Joey made a joke that “some girl ate Monica”. Chandler also ridiculed her on Thanksgiving because of her weight. And that encouraged Monica to lose weight drastically and become skinny. Her weight was the joke for many parts of the show. However, it is a mean joke.

You must see FRIENDS by now and some of us would have even watched it multiple times.
