Whoaaa!!! Finally, the FRIENDS reunion is out…

HBO Max’s FRIENDS reunion promised to be a star-studded as the show itself. And keeping its promise, it featured a bunch of celebrity guest stars in the show. On NBC in 1994, FRIENDS premiered with a perfect pilot episode which was created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. However, the show still managed an upward trajectory by earning impressive ratings from the outset and became one of the most successful television shows of all time. It ran for 10 seasons globally and was watched by over 50 million people. Moreover, a special event celebrating the sitcom’s legacy was commissioned with the announcement of the HBO Max streaming service.

FRIENDS followed the meme-worthy exploits as they navigated love, life, and career ambitions in New York City. The show became so popular that it made household names out of its stars and characters including Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe Buffay, Matt LeBlanc’s Joey Tribbiani, Courteney Cox’s Monica Geller, Matthew Perry’s Chandler Bing, Jennifer Anniston’s Rachel Green, and David Schwimmer’s Ross Geller. While fans were entangled with the relationship between Ross and Rachel, they were also gripped by the appearance of high-profile guest stars the show secured.

Well, the FRIENDS reunion was no different from the original show. The special event was stacked with a whole array of celebrity guest appearances. 3. James Corden

Yes, the Late Late Show star, James Corden was also in the FRIENDS reunion. He appeared as the host of the show. Even though there was a sect of people who didn’t want him hosting the show, but he did his job amazingly well.

4. Cara Delevingne

Cara is a supermodel of this era who is also an actress, and singer too. She was the one who modeled some of the most unique fashion moments of the show. She revived a memorable moment in FRIENDS history by wearing Rachel’s bright pink bridesmaid dress. She even has the back of her dress stuck in her underwear. Not just that, she also revived Ross’s famous costume of the “Holiday Armadillo”.

5. Cindy Crawford

Crawford is a supermodel and appeared to honor the show’s outfits that quickly became staples of ’90s fashion. She wore Ross’s famous leather pants in the fashion show that happened at the reunion. She totally nailed it!

6. David Beckham

Well, the former soccer star casually wearing a FRIENDS T-shirt is an indication of how much he loves the show and in the reunion, he admitted it himself. Especially, he loves Monica because she is a cleanliness freak, so does he. Also, he revealed that he loved the episode where no on gets ready as it keeps him entertained and smiling always. He even praised Chandler and Monica as a couple.

7. Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga became a part of the reunion where she sang the famous iconic song “Smelly Cat”. And what could be better than singing it with Phoebe by her side! Yes, Gaga sang that song with Lisa Kudrow at the Central Perk. Well, in the end, Lisa nailed it by saying, “Still think its better when it’s just me“. Classic Phoebe!

8. Elliott Gould And Christina Pickles

Elliott and Christina were in the audience. They cheered for them and loved being in the show. They even talked about an incident from the show, where on their arrival the six characters announced that the “Parents are here! Parents are here!” And that was the time they felt like being their real parents. The two often felt and worried about the six friends as their own children. It surely shows the warmth inside the sets of the FRIENDS sets and why it was the best show ever.

9. Kit Harington

The Game Of Thrones star, Kit Harington appeared as a fan in the reunion special. He admitted that he felt like he is a part of the “Geller Family” while watching the show because he was neurotic and also a fan of tight pants. He also revealed that his favorite part was “Pivot” if you remember. He explained that the Pivot scene was iconic because it had minimal dialogues, but surprisingly the cast made it one of the best parts of the show simply with their comic sense and abilities.

10. Larry Hankin

Well, if you were missing Mr. Heckles, then no need to worry, he appeared in the show just as our all-time favorite, Mr. Heckles in the reunion. At the time of recreated famous “trivia game”, Larry Hankin appears as an answer to one of the questions in the game. And he like always said his famous dialogue to the whole group, “You all owe me a cat and a waffle“.

11. Mindy Kaling

Mindy Kaling appeared at the reunion as one of the celebrity fans of FRIENDS. She shared memories from the time Chandler and Monica became a couple and how much the audience went crazy about that turn of events in the show.

12. Thomas Lennon

In the reunion, the cast recreated the famous moment of the “trivia game”. In one of the questions, Joey had to figure out his hand twin out of the three options given to him. And who will be a better hand twin of Joey than the one who played it original? Yes, Thomas Lennon appeared as Joey’s hand twin in the reunion too.

13. Tom Selleck

Same as Thomas Lennon, Tom Selleck appeared in the “trivia game” as one of the answers. Well, on his appearance he had a question for the girls and it was a part of the “Lightning Round” they were playing already. Well, can you try guessing the question? Yes, it was one of the most sought out questions of all times asked by the FRIENDS fans worldwide, “What does Chandler do for a living?” Do you have an answer to that? No one could answer this even today.

14. James Michael Tyler

Do you remember the person who crushed over Rachel throughout the series? Yes, you got it right, it’s Gunther. Due to some reasons, he was not able to be at the reunion in person but he did connect with the cast at the time of it. He said that he loved the show and the characters as well. He loved working with them and it was one of the best 10 years of his life.

15. Maggie Wheeler

As a surprise, Maggie came to the couch where everybody was sitting and shared how she was cast in the show. She remembered that there was an outlet in her fax machine saying “Need fast-talking New Yorker” and she realized it was something she could easily do. So, she went there and got selected. She also revealed that Matthew Perry inspired her iconic laugh. Not to forget, she also mimics her magical 3 words “Oh. My. God.”

16. Reese Witherspoon

Rachel’s sister, Jill Green also appeared at the reunion. She remembered that when she was asked to cameo in FRIENDS as Rachel’s sister, she was thrilled. She was so excited when she entered the apartment and Joey directed his iconic line to her, “How you doin?” Reese also believed that the characters were so amazing that they were capable of running their own show but together, they were just magical.

17. Malala Yousafzai

The Nobel Peace Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai also appeared in the show as a celebrity fan of FRIENDS. She admitted that after watching FRIENDS, she understood what actually binge-watching is. She said that she loves the show and its characters. Malala also revealed that her favorite episode is “The One With The Routine”. She says that she loved where Ross and Monica do the routine and it was quite hilarious.

FRIENDS fans can finally celebrate as HBO Max confirmed the release date of the reunion special in addition to a teaser trailer. Fans of the long-running NBC series FRIENDS have been waiting for a long time for the reunion special. It appears now that it’s just days away. While fans were thrilled to have a glimpse of the reunion special, they are quite disappointed with some of the decisions made.

Originally, the reunion was announced back in November 2019. However, due to Covid-19, it got delay from being filmed until this year. While fans are obviously very excited to see their favorite six characters Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, and Matt LeBlanc, people’s complaints have also been flying left and right. 1. James Corden Hosting The Show

James Corden, Carpool Karaoke host has been bashed about being the host of the FRIENDS reunion show. Corden was very well-liked for some time but it appears like the public has turned on him in recent years. Some of them find him annoying, rather than funny, and also he has even been linked to some controversies. People are not holding back and sharing memes about their distaste for Corden. 2. Paul Rudd Is Missing In The Reunion

While fans were thrilled to finally see the six friends getting back together, there was a bit of confusion about the list of the guest stars. It seems like one of the important guest stars is missing. In addition to Malala Yousafzai, James Corden, and David Beckham, supporting cast members including Elliott Gould, Maggie Wheeler, and James Michael Tyler will be present during the unscripted special. However, one celebrity who is not returning to the reunion special is Paul Rudd.

Rudd joined the series in its ninth season as Mike Hannigan. He was the love interest for Lisa Kudrow’s character, Phoebe Buffay. Unfortunately, Rudd will not return as one of the star guests. 3. Long List Of Guests List of Friends Reunion

FRIENDS fans are very excited about the reunion special that is finally happening. However, fans always wanted to see just the main characters and few supporting characters together. That is why people are also upset by the newcomers being involved in the FRIENDS reunion special. Popular celebs such as the K-pop group BTS, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and many others will be in attendance at the FRIENDS reunion. It has left fans scratching their heads as to why are they important to the show?

4. FRIENDS Reunion Is Not A FRIENDS Episode

Whenever fans thought about the FRIENDS reunion, they thought it will be an extended version of the series. It will be about their grown-up characters and about how their lives turned out after going to different paths. But, fans were quite disappointed when they heard that it will be more like a get-together, rather than an actual episode.

The main cast will reunite, have surprises, revisit the set, share behind-the-scenes footage, and recreate some of the iconic scenes, but they won’t be portraying their original characters. They will be appearing in the reunion special as themselves. It will be an “unscripted special” where the cast members will be sitting around and discussing the show. FRIENDS fans are not quite liking this fact.

5. Too many Spoilers

Fans have been waiting for the FRIENDS reunion for quite a long time. They got little details from the main cast interviews and finally, the teaser was released. However, between the interviews and teaser, it seems like we know everything about what is going to be there in the special. We know that the show will be unscripted, characters will recreate some iconic FRIENDS moments, guests list, supporting characters list, what most of the guest stars would appear like, and many more things.

Fans doubt there won’t be many surprises left for the final Reunion. First, it’s just a talk show and already a lot of details have spilled all over the internet. So will there be anything left to watch?

6. People Stressing On Matthew Perry’s Health

We all know he had to go through a lot of stuff in his life and he has successfully overcome all his demons. When you have to fight hard and give your everything to win, then in the process you always leave behind a part of you. And that is what has happened to Matthew but fans and media houses keep fixating on this all the time. It’s better to just enjoy the show rather than pointing fingers at everything and everyone. When we know his past, it’s useless to discuss how bad he looks now or how his speech sounds like. The man has gone through a lot and it has taken its toll already. So now let’s celebrate what he is and what we like about him the most.

7. Too Many People Missing From The Show

Apart from Paul Rudd, there is a big list of guest stars who are missing for the FRIENDS reunion. Of course, some of the guest stars won’t come to the show because of the history between the guest stars and the main characters of the show such as we can’t expect Brad Pitt because of his too much history with Jennifer Aniston. Also, Aisha Tyler would not come back because of her issues with show co-creator Marta Kauffman. However, fans expressed their disappointment about the guest stars who apparently wouldn’t be there. We have noted down a few disappointments expressed by the people but before that, we would like to share a list of few people from FRIENDS who really deserve to be at the Reunion but they aren’t.

Also, fans would really like to see Christina Applegate, Julia Roberts, Isabella Rosellini, Winona Ryder, Jean Claude Van Damme, Helen Hunt, and Billy Crystal. They could all have been invited to the reunion special. In fact, comedy icon Danny DeVito should be in the special. We just hope that these names will come to the show as big surprises that HBO Max doesn’t want to spoil.

We love FRIENDS. We sometimes dress like FRIENDS and want to be friends with FRIENDS. We even occasionally hang out in coffee shops to make some friends. But sometimes it appears like our admiration for Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross, and Joey is misplaced because they’re actually massively selfish. From scheming and manipulation to the constant fighting over men and women, FRIENDS characters appeared to be the worst. For a show that is a huge hit even now, we expected so much more than that. Well, here are some examples when the FRIENDS characters proved that they were horrible, horrible people. Let’s take a look:

1. When Ross Started Planning Out His & Rachel’s Future Family

Ross and Rachel would always be considered as a cute couple. However, at the beginning of their relationship, Ross was obsessive about Rachel. Right before them, both say “I Love You” to each other, Rachel complained about Ross planning her future for her without even asking. And Ross kept on saying that how he imagines their future kids and also read a book on children’s names. That is when Rachel pointed out they’d only been dating for six weeks.

2. When Rachel Sabotaged Bonnie’s Appearance

Even though it is adorable that Rachel had the feeling for Ross and she was jealous of his girlfriend, Bonnie, but it wasn’t cool to encourage her to go bald. It got too far on Rachel’s part. It is another anxiety-inducing moment to see that for her benefit she sabotaged Bonnie’s judgment of being bald.

3. When Joey Went Through Rachel’s Book

Going through someone’s stuff, even if they are a friend or roommate isn’t cool. The audience wonders that a guy rummaging through a girl’s stuff is harassment. When Joey made fun of Rachel for keeping an erotic novel under her pillow, it was unnecessary and downright stupid because it seemed like he took the advantage of Rachel’s privacy. While Joey was and will always be an adorable character, modern viewers were not able to accept that just for his entertainment, he overlooked her privacy.

4. When Monica Assumed That Her Maid Is Stealing From Her

Just because she is a maid doesn’t mean she is stealing. Frankly, Monica was lucky to escape a sexual harassment lawsuit. Because when she peered incessantly at Brenda’s crotch to confirm that if the jeans have a stain on them or not, it was not at all okay. This gesture was quite selfish on her part.

5. When Chandler Kissed Kathy Without Telling Joey First

Since Chandler and Kathy are such a good couple, we normally let this one slide. Also, they were far more suited than Joey and Kathy. Also, it didn’t matter because Joey rarely gets involved in actual relationships and Kathy was just another fling for him. But, even then also it was quite wrong to kiss your friend’s girlfriend behind their back. Chandler totally deserved to be put in that box.

6. When Joey Sabotaged A Young Actor’s Career

It is quite ridiculous to see Joey getting a job as an acting teacher in the first place. And even after getting a prestigious job, Joey tries to sabotage the career of one of his own students. He advised the student to “play it gay” in the audition. Well, what can we say? Karma is a bitch. The casting crew loved the gay angle in the story and he got the part.

7. When Phoebe and Mike Donated Their Wedding Money And Asked It Back

If you don’t remember, yes it actually happened. Phoebe and Mike donated the wedding money to a charity. But later they realized that they want a big wedding, so they asked it back. They were not just patronizing and self-righteous but also were reluctant to hand over the cash that they gave to the organization. Ultimately, the organization decided that they didn’t even want their bloody money.

8. When Rachel Told Everyone That Tag Is Gay

It feels like Rachel is the queen of sabotaging people’s ongoing relationships or might-happen relationships. Just because she wanted to date her assistant, Tag (which is by the way, against the rules of her company), she said Phoebe that he is gay. And when Tag wanted to ask Phoebe out, she told Tag the same thing that Phoebe is gay. For goodness’ sake, Rachel.

9. When Chandler Mistreated Janice At His Convenience

Well, we can’t deny that she is the most annoying person in the show, but Janice has a good heart and gives Chandler chances again and again. She doesn’t deserve the shoddy treatment from Chandler. Throughout the series, he made up and break up with Janice according to his convenience, without even thinking about her feelings. And, Janice always loved him back. Could he BE anymore selfish?

10. When Ross Got All Jealous Over Rachel When She’s Working With Mark

The situation with Mark was pure psychotic. He was jealous and became completely possessive because of Mark. He interfered with her work more than once by sending her excessive gifts and shouted in her office. This showed how insecure he was as a person. And this not just it, on various occasions he proved that he is quite a selfish person such as by not giving Rachel the message from a guy she met out, by telling Paolo that he and Rachel were kind of thing and many more. Ross Gross.

11. When All Of Them Treated Vulnerable People Badly

We get why Chandler wanted to get Eddie out of his apartment, but taking advantage of his mental illness for that was not at all cool. And then there was the time Monica dated Fun Bobby. They all made him get sober for his own health benefit, but then everyone dubbed him as ridiculously Dull Bobby. And it went over the top when Monica started knocking back the booze to be around him. The group surely lacks sensitivity.

12. When Joey And Chandler Tries To Get Ross Move Out

When finally Emily call it a quit and left Ross, he lost his apartment too. Ross was alone and homeless. Like best friends, Joey and Chandler came to the rescue and offered him to stay with them. But, when he actually shifted to their place, instead of recognizing what a difficult time this must be for him and putting up with his annoying habits, they try to nudge him into moving out ASAP. They even encouraged him to shift into a studio apartment. Grow up guys, don’t be so selfish.

It’s been 17 years that the iconic show FRIENDS closed Stage 24 for itself. And after so long, we are finally about to see “The One We Have Been Waiting For”, the most awaited FRIENDS reunion.

HBO Max has released the first trailer of the reunion in which we will see all the six main cast members return. The actors have come together as themselves for an unscripted special, rather than filming a new episode of FRIENDS to reminisce about their time on the show. You might have seen the trailer already but there were a few details that are easy to miss while watching. It’s so overwhelming to see the cast together after so long that you often tend to ignore the things apart from them. So today, we are going to point out a few details from the Reunion that are important and you should be knowing. In case if you want to watch it again then here’s the video:

David Schwimmer rightly said about the delay, the gap had only made the reunion more meaningful and exciting for the six stars. He also said, “It turned out to be something really special for the fans. I think it’s going to lift a lot of people’s spirits.” And immediately Matt LeBlanc added, “It lifted mine.”

At first, HBO released a teaser trailer, but there were no dialogues or clips in it. It was just made up of the six actors with their backs turned to the camera walking down the street. And, an instrumental version of the iconic “I’ll Be There For You” played in the background. And then came the trailer you just watched above. However, there are a few details most people missed while watching the FRIENDS reunion trailer. Well, we understand why it happened. So, here is the list of things you might miss noticing. Let’s take a look:

1. Rachel Admits They Were On A Break

It is one such debate that has been continued for a long time and it existed till the date when Jennifer Aniston herself agrees that they were on a break. Yes, you heard it right. In fact, as Corden poses this question to all the six cast members, they all agreed almost immediately that Ross and Rachel were on a break. So, finally, we can say that Ross did nothing wrong by sleeping with the copy girl.

However, one person disagrees with this. And, that one person is Matt LeBlanc who immediately said, “Bullsh*t”. You can see David Schwimmer’s visible shock and delight after seeing Matt’s reaction.

2. Matthew’s Speech Slurs

In the promo of the reunion special, Matthew Perry appeared with a slurred speech. It was hard to overlook his awkward demeanor as he sat with other cast members of the show. He stammered and stared in the clip. His words even slurred together at one point and it was something to worry about. In the promo, he was asked that he ever took any souvenir from the show, he revealed, “I stole the cookie jar that had the clock on it”. But, he said it with a heavy “sh” sound at the start of the word “stole”. Even though Matthew’s speech was stilted, his physical appearance looked quite healthier. Maybe his castmates hid their concerns as Matt and David smiled at the star.

3. Courteney Wrote Lines On Table Revealed

As Rachel’s best friend, Ross’s sister, and Chandler’s eventual wife, Monica was at the center in the reunion special. In an episode “The One With the Pediatrician”, Ross once told, “You’re the glue that holds this group together.” However, Courteney Cox apparently struggled to remember her lines of the scenes in real life.

In one of the trailer’s funniest moments, the six principal cast members revisit the set of Rachel and Monica’s apartment. There, Matt LeBlanc moves the fruit bowl to the kitchen table and asks, “Does Courteney still have her lines written on the table?” It was one hilarious moment where Matt revealed Courteney’s secret. We cannot wait for more clips like these.

4. Matthew Can Cry

Chandler was a character who struggled to show his emotions so much that the writers based an entire episode around it. In the episode “The One Where Chandler Can’t Cry”, the gang surprisingly found out how rarely Chandler gets visibly upset. Even when Monica came up with a variety of heartbreaking scenarios, he couldn’t show many emotions.

However, actor Matthew Perry clearly has no issue in displaying his emotions in real life. Even though we are not aware of the reason, but in the trailer, we get a glimpse where Matthew says, “yeah, I’m gonna cry now” and Jennifer comforts her by putting her hands on his shoulder. We bet he won’t be the only one crying. Reflecting on the mood of the audience, Jennifer also at one point says, “Where’s the tissue box?”

5. Rachel’s Wardrobe Malfunction Featured

Rachel faced a wardrobe malfunction in the series when she appeared as a bridesmaid at Barry and Mindy’s wedding. She unwillingly wore the dress and things got worse when her dress got stuck in her underwear. It exposed her red underwear making it a hilariously embarrassing moment for Rachel.

However, the FRIENDS reunion can never be complete without recreating this hilarious moment. Well, this time Cara Delevingne, the “Suicide Squad” star recreated Rachel’s infamous bridesmaid dress. She was not as embarrassed as Rachel and rather turned it into a fashion statement.

6. Cast Actually Aged

Even though it is nearly two decades on from the show, we’re as shocked about it as you are to see that our favorite friends now have wrinkles and grey hairs. When years ago Chandler and Joey relaxed in their beloved Barca loungers, they seemed like two roommates in their twenties viewing Baywatch.

However, now it looks like they actively need the rest. And if you didn’t notice, this particular scene features the greatest ever FRIENDS characters, Hugsy who was Joey’s cuddly penguin. He also got a cameo appearance in the FRIENDS reunion!

7. Guest Stars Were Committed

There are a long of A-list stars who are gonna make cameo appearances in the FRIENDS reunion. Well, if you are worrying that they will appear at the expense of quality time with the cast, then you don’t have to worry at all. The producers of the reunion have weaved the celebrity guests in smoothly and cleverly. There all will be playing their part making the reunion more exciting and thrilling.

8. Not Against But Together

While we’re looking forward to the gang sharing memories with James Corden, there are also plenty of activities and games planned to liven things up. There’s a table read including “The One Where Everyone Finds Out” where you will see Lisa shouting once again “My eyes! My eyes!”, Lisa also might perform the famous song “Smelly Cat”, and many more. However, the biggest highlight is the recreation of the season 4 trivia game. A battle between boys vs girls to know who knows each other better. A battle where Monica and Rachel lost their apartment.

Well, the interesting part is that it seems like this time they are not fighting against each other but playing together to show what they remember about the show. One of the trivia questions is “How long was the letter Rachel wrote Ross?” LeBlanc cried, “Eighteen pages” and Jennifer added, “Front and Back”. We are sure who wins the game but we hope that there will be a Lightning Round to settle it. But they have shown us that time has changed and now they are above winning and losing.

Well, the reunion is going to be wonderful! But there are things that we are going to miss. We know a few guests are coming to the show apart from the main cast. FRIENDS first premiered in 1994 on NBC and made a remarkable place in the people’s hearts in 10 years. Even after 2004, it has constantly added new viewers to its list and more followers for the lovely cast. Every day more and more people are curious about the lives and insights of the people who were involved in the show. Most fans have watched the show more than once and now they are constantly in search of something new. Before the reunion was announced, fans were excited to know more about the cast’s experiences during the show.

Among the main characters, Phoebe was the most off-centered in the group. She had the most complicated family background. Lisa Kudrow, who played the iconic character of Phoebe Buffay in FRIENDS played that character for a decade and made her way to our hearts. Fans loved Phoebe’s quirkiness and her courage to speak her mind out without thinking about society.

Even though we remember her character in a happy way, it’s not the same for Lisa. There were some serious struggles she had to face while filming in FRIENDS as Phoebe Buffay. You might be thrilled and amazed to know them all so Let’s check out:

1. Lisa Almost Didn’t Play Phoebe

Lisa Kudrow nearly missed out on being cast as Phoebe Buffay because of Frasier director James Burroughs. In 1993 he cast Lisa Kudrow as Roz Doyle in ‘Frasier’ but later fired her after the pilot episode wrapped because he thought she was not good enough for the part. So, when she came to know that he was one of the directors in FRIENDS, she didn’t think that she would ever make it to the show.

Even during the first table read of FRIENDS, she thought that her future in the show is dubious. Because she heard the creators of the show discussing her character where they were not sure of how to convince the audience that she belonged to the group. But eventually, she stabilized herself by thinking that if Monica was convinced with her quirkiness, and wanted her to stay as a roommate, then the audience will accept her too. In the end, things turn out really well and we can’t imagine anyone else playing Phoebe Buffay other than Lisa Kudrow.

2. Creating Phoebe Buffay

Phoebe came from a dysfunctional family. Her mother killed herself, her stepfather was in prison, and her real father left them long ago. That is how she ended up living in the streets of New York. But, it was hard to present the character in a hilarious way. So, she remembers a girl from her college who used to work in a nursing home to support herself. Despite that, the girl always finds something to be funny.

Lisa took that attitude from the girl who doesn’t feel bad about her past and thinks of it just as an experience. She doesn’t punish herself for her past and lives life on her own terms. This attitude of Phoebe Buffay made us fall for her even more.

3. Mad About Ursula

Initially, when Lisa was an aspiring actor, she didn’t get much work and she was ready to do anything because she was running out of money. During those days, her agent informed her about a show “Mad About You” which was looking for a guest star to play a waitress in a few scenes and she took the audition. The casting crew loved her and named her character Ursula. Later, she became a recurring character in the show.

At the same time, FRIENDS got on-air along with “Mad About You”. So, to make things interesting and to justify Lisa’s presence in both the shows, they introduced Ursula in FRIENDS as well. They establish a connection between them as twin sisters.

But playing the double was not an easy task. The double of Lisa Kudrow was played by her sister Helen Kudrow who has almost the same height and built as Lisa. However, Lisa didn’t have fun while shooting those scenes because she never liked acting with a double. The presence of her sister made it even more problematic for her to shoot the twin scenes.

According to Kevin S. Bright, the stress she put herself under stress by making her sister the double. However, Phoebe and Ursula’s scenes served their purpose. That discomfort and awkwardness didn’t seem in the final product and it came out amazing. Fortunately for Lisa, the show didn’t include much of Ursula which made it easy for her.

4. Lisa Wasn’t Prepared For The Role

For the role of Phoebe Buffay, Lisa Kudrow was required to learn how to play the guitar. But, she hated playing the instrument. But the creators of the show were determined and ended up bringing a guitar teacher for her which didn’t last long. She gave up on trying to play well after a few classes. Lisa Kudrow admitted in an interview, “I didn’t like the guitar. I wasn’t getting it. So I think I even asked, ‘What if she plays the bongos?'”

Kudrow learned a few chords of the guitar which were enough for the character because Phoebe would only know a handful of chords anyway. She even managed to convince the creators with that logic. Ultimately, her limited guitar skills brought out more charm in Phoebe. And Kudrow’s quirkiness made the classic song Smelly Cat iconic, despite not knowing how to play the guitar.

5. Insecure About Her Looks

Kudrow reveals during a podcast with Marc Maron that she struggled with body images on the set of FRIENDS because she was taller and bigger than her co-stars, Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston. She felt like a “Mountain of Woman” among other girls in the show and was pretty uncomfortable about it and decided to lose weight. But later at one point in time, she became so thin that she used to get sick for one reason or another. Poor Phoebe!

Being true FRIENDS fans, we re-watch the episode every chance we get. However, Kudrow doesn’t feel the same way. She revealed that she never wants to go back and re-watch the show. In the interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said, “I don’t watch it if it’s on.” She further continued and admitted, “I might not like myself on the show, so I’d rather not risk that.”

6. What Lisa Thinks About Phoebe

As per Kudrow, she likes Phoebe. She doesn’t see her as an unintelligent person. Rather, she just sees the world differently. She also added that Phoebe was a fiery but nice person. She was always honest with people and was never afraid to speak her mind. Even when there was a good chance of being ridiculed by others for her opinions. Well, that is one of the thing that we too love about Phoebe the most.

In an interview with Variety Kudrow said, “Oh, it was such hard work for 10 years. It’s not that. It was that I know that show worked because we all committed to each other too.” She also said, “It wasn’t just committing to a role, committing to a contract. We all still love each other. Our cast is like that, and that’s why that worked. I think part of me died. I can’t do that again.”

After the show ended, she felt that she kept a few habits and traits from Phoebe and left behind her own. So that is how she was influenced by the character she played.
