During the promotions of Shark tank India on The Kapil Sharma Show, she opened up and gave some fitting replies in response to the jokes.
A few months ago, Vineeta had shared a screenshot of an e-mail where a person out of grave concern wrote that his girlfriend, who apparently uses Sugar Cosmetics wants to know why she named her brand Sugar and not something like ‘chai-patti’ [tea leaves] or ‘dudh’ [milk], the other ingredients of making tea.
The email addressed to Vineeta read: “My Girlfriend is a very big fan of #SugerCosmetics. But she wants to know that why you named your company as SUGER, But why not CHAI-PATII ???? …. Or DHUDH ???”

Yuzvendra Chahal, the Indian cricketer, who is currently a player of Rajasthan Royals revealed a shocking story of physical harassment that has left the fans and cricketers in dismay and concern. He revealed that in 2013 when he was young he was once hung from a 15th-floor hotel balcony by one of his drunk Mumbai Indians teammates. Luckily, and thankfully, others came in to take the situation under control and helped him back to his feet.
The cricket fraternity was in absolute shock, which included Former India opener Virender Sehwag. Sehwag requested Yuzvendra to name the cricketer who had allegedly hung the leg-spinner on a balcony, in a drunken state of mind during his Mumbai Indians days.
When Chahal revealed this incident on Thursday, some may have taken it funny at first, but it soon became a serious topic of conversation, Virender Sehwag took to Twitter and asked Chahal to reveal the name of the cricketer who attempted this life-threatening act and demanded detailed information from the 31-year-old cricketer.
With a picture from a Bollywood movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai in which Sanjay Dutt is seen hanging a man upside down from the balcony, Virender Sehwag wrote on Twitter:
“Important to reveal name of player who as per Chahal did this to him in a drunk state. If true, this cannot be treated as fun, important to know what happened and what action was taken considering the seriousness of this”
In a video published on April 7, by Rajasthan Royals about how players handle tricky off-field situations. Yuzvendra revealed:
“This dates back to 2013, when I was with Mumbai Indians. We had a match in Bengaluru and there was a get-together after that. So there was a player who was very drunk – and I won’t take his name – he was very drunk, he just called me aside, and he took me outside and he hung me out from the balcony.
He also added:
“I was holding on to him, with my arms around his neck. If I had lost my grip, we were on the 15th floor… Suddenly many people who were there came and handled the situation. I kind of fainted, and they gave me water. Then I realised how responsible we need to be when we go anywhere. So that was one incident where I made a narrow escape. Had there been a small mistake there, I would have fallen down.”
Besides Virender Sehwag, many fans also requested the spinner to reveal the identity of the player who bullied him. Former Team India head coach Ravi Shastri has also reacted to the same, and remarked that the incident is “not funny at all”.
He also added that “it is a big worry” if the player involved in the incident was not in a “conscious state of mind”. The offender should be given a life ban is what Shastri said.
Meanwhile, Chahal’s performance has been excellent so far for RR, picking up 7 wickets in 3 matches, and has bowled at a brilliant economy of 5.25.
In Yami Gautam’s latest release Dasvi, a negative review of her performance made the actress very angry. The film was released on Netflix and Jio Cinema on April 7 this year. The movie also features actors Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur.
Dasvi, is a social comedy that focuses on the importance of education and Yami plays a cop in the latest release.
On Thursday, Yami took to her Twitter account and said that she found one of the reviews of her performance “extremely disrespectful.” She also stated that she is a hard-working self-made actor and urged the publication to not review her again.
The disrespectful review to which she reacted was by Film Companion. She shared a screenshot of part of the review, which remarked, “Yami Gautam is no longer the dead girlfriend in Hindi films, but the combative smile is starting to get repetitive.”
Before I say anything else, I’d like to say that I usually take constructive criticism in my stride. But when a certain platform keeps trying to pull you down consistently, I felt it necessary to speak up about it. https://t.co/GGczNekBhPpic.twitter.com/wdBYXyv47V
Yami slammed the publication and reacted to the comment by writing,
“Before I say anything else, I’d like to say that I usually take constructive criticism in my stride. But when a certain platform keeps trying to pull you down consistently, I felt it necessary to speak up about it. My recent films & performances include A Thursday, Bala, Uri etc. & yet this is qualified as a ‘review’ of my work! It’s extremely disrespectful!”
She also added,
“It takes years of hard work for anyone & especially a self-made actor like me to keep proving our mettle again & again with every opportunity. This is what it comes down to from certain reputed portals! It’s heartbreaking since I did look up to @FilmCompanion once upon a time, like many of us, but I don’t seek that since long now! I would request you not to ‘review’ my performance henceforth ! I’ll find grace in that & it’ll be less painful.”
Abhishek Bachchan plays politician Ganga Ram Chaudhary, who lands up in jail in the film. Yami plays Jyoti Deswal, a strict and lawful cop, appointed as the new superintendent who provokes Abhishek’s character to clear his Class 10 exams. Nimrat Kaur plays Bimla Devi, Ganga Ram Chaudhary’s wife who becomes the accidental chief minister after her husband is sent to jail.
One of the most controversial judges of Shark Tank India, Ashneer Grover came into the limelight for yet another fight, this time with the founders of BharatPe, over the non-payment of salaries. Though the co-founder of BharatPe renounced his post it appears that he still has a keen interest in what is happening in the FinTech company. The whole discussion is quite entertaining.
The latest fight started when a person, claiming to be BharatPe’s employee started complaining about not receiving the salary for the month of March on LinkedIn.
Here’s what the employee said:
Dear Suhail and Shashvat Sir, we haven’t received our salary for March month yet despite following up so many times on email and visiting the office. All the old admin staff of BharatPe have been terminated by you without giving any reason and their salaries have not been paid. We were with BharatPe ever since the Compamy started and now we are nowhere because of your internal politics.
Ashneer’s sister also commented on the post saying: “That’s the sad part… That’s it’s a shameless bunch!
Suhail Sameer, BharatPe CEO replied to Aashima Grover’s comment and stated: “Tere bhai ne saara paisa chura liya (your brother stole all the money). Very little left to pay salaries.” This is where things got out of control.
The CEO of Bharat Pe tells the (apparent) sister of the ousted founder of Bharat Pe that her brother has stolen all the money from the company, AND there’s “very little left to pay salaries”. @StateOfLinkedIn this is next level @LinkedInhttps://t.co/ZjSLu6WJNa
Ashneer Grover‘s wife Madhuri Jain was sacked as the company’s head of controls in February this year on the accusation of financial irregularities. In March this year, Ashneer was removed from his positions at BharatPe.

“Sir, don’t you think the way Ashish has portrayed you in his Sasta Shark Tank is very wrong! Like is it okay to do character assassination of someone in the name of comedy? I really don’t know what’s your take on this but I felt very bad when I watched that video!”

Mumbai Indians lost to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by five wickets on Wednesday (April 6) which recorded their third consecutive loss in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The proceedings were under the control of the Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma till the arrival of Pat Cummins.
In the 14th over Andre Russell was removed by Tymal Mills but things took a different turn when Australia’s Test captain walked in to bat while KKR still needed 61 runs off 40 balls.
A couple of overs later, Cummins smashed Jasprit Bumrah and Mills hitting a couple of sixes and boundaries before going all out and hitting Daniel Sams for 35 runs in an over to reserve a win for KKR.
The Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma was visibly frustratedwith the result after their third consecutive defeat. When the commentator made an effort to console and cheer him up by reminding him how his side has been a slow starter in the tournament and not lose hope, Rohit interrupted and cut him short by saying he doesn’t intend to win everything towards the backend of the league. He said at the post-match presentation:
“I don’t want to be in this position all the time (when Danny Morrison pointed out that MI have been in this position before at the start of an IPL season).”
Reportedly he was also seen letting out his frustration on the technical staff and even looked frustrated while gearing up for the post-match interaction.
Watching Rohit frustrated was a shocking sight for most cricket fans and they quickly took to social media to point them out.
Wonder how kohli controlled those emotions for all those years.. here this guy getting rattled just after 3 matches … Rohit so frustrated 😂 #KKRvMIpic.twitter.com/ZqUc0wgEEP
The five-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians’ position has currently declined to the bottom of the table. Even the skipper’s own form with the bat is not helping.
Just like the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK), they have also played three and lost three. To be included in the playoffs for the second season running they need to turn things around quickly or else they might miss out.
In the ongoing 15th edition of Indian Premier League, IPL 2022, the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings dropped to the ninth position in the points table by losing their three games on the trot.
The team failed to defend the total in the games against Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders. For the first time, CSK lost their first three matches back-to-back, the team started off on a bad note this season.
Before the league commenced, the CSK team which has been a 4-time champion went through a major change- the captaincy switch, asMS Dhoni handed over the reins to Ravindra Jadeja.
However, Jadeja’s captaincy is still not up to the mark and this has been a major topic of discussion among several former cricketers. According to them, the all-rounder, Jadeja is still under the influence of MS Dhoni who seems to take the discussions, despite Jadeja being the designated captain.
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh said that new (CSK) captain Ravindra Jadeja needs to come forward now more than ever and take the responsibility more seriously. On Byju’s Cricket Live show on Star Sports, Bhajji commented:
“I feel that MS Dhoni is still captain of the team. When I look at Jadeja, he is fielding outside the ring. By doing that you won’t be able to control too many things but he has given headache to MS Dhoni to look after the field setting and everything,”
He added: “He is shedding some of his own weight and putting it on Dhoni’s shoulders that ‘look after the field setting.”
Furthermore, the former offspinner also said that Jadeja’s leadership will grow and evolve under the guidance of MS Dhoni and he is confident that investing in Jadeja is the right move. He said:
“But I think that overall Jadeja is a very confident guy when it comes to batting and bowling and his skillsets are unbelievable. To get the best out of the team when it is not performing is rare, and he needs to stand up and talk about a few things,”
“Their bowling looks really very down at this stage and the batting too needs to lift a bit. Jadeja himself as a captain has to prove a point but he can be someone you can invest in. Give him some more time and hopefully he will improve and learn. Having MS Dhoni will help him this season.”
Do you agree with Harbhajan Singh’s remark? Let us know in the comments.
Twinkle Khanna, was a well-known actress in the Bollywood film industry in the 90s and early 2000s. She is the daughter of late actor Rajesh Khanna and actress Dimple Kapadia. She appeared in some popular films like Baadshah, Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan, Mela, Dil Tera Diwana, etc. But eventually, she gave up acting to pursue her passion which is writing.
Three bestselling novels have been published by the actress so far. She also regularly writes her opinions on various issues in a newspaper column. In her latest column, she addressed the success of Kashmir Files and the Oscars ‘slapgate’.
The Kashmir Files, based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, turned out to be this year’s biggest Bollywood hit, despite facing stiff competition from SS Rajamouli’s RRR. Many Bollywood celebrities came out to support the Vivek Agnihotri-directed film, but the actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna has taken a dig at the film.
In her column for The Times of India, the former Bollywood actress joked about how several filmmakers are rushing to register the names of different cities to use them in the titles of their movies, after the success of Vivek Agnihotri’s movie The Kashmir Files.
The author of Mrs. Funnybones wrote,
“In a meeting at a producer’s office, I am informed that there is a deluge of fresh movie titles being registered as an homage to The Kashmir Files. Since larger cities have already been claimed, now the poor chaps are registering names like Andheri Files, Khar-Danda Files, and even South Bombay Files. I am just wondering if my colleagues can still call themselves filmmakers, or with all this filing, they, like the original nationalist, Manoj Kumar, have all turned into clerks.”
The actress also added her subtle attack on Vivek Agnihotri’s film,
“I am going to make a movie called Nail File,” to which Dimple asked, “About what? A disastrous manicure.” “Maybe, but at least it’s better than putting the final nail into the communal coffin.”
Meanwhile, her husband, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar praised the film, The Kashmir Files whose latest release, Bachchhan Paandey, flopped at the box office.
In a viral video, the Khiladi actor was heard saying,
“All of us, we want to tell stories of our country. Some may be well-known, others not as much. For example, Vivek has made The Kashmir Files that brought a painful truth to the fore and shook us all. That it caused my film (Bachchhan Paandey) to flop is a different issue.”
Post the success of The Kashmir Files, Vivek Agnihotri is now all set to work on his next project titled, The Delhi Files.

Recently, at the 94th Academy Awards, things took an unexpected turn when Hollywood star Will Smith slapped Chris Rock and shocked everyone. Before presenting an award at the Oscars, Chris joked about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, looking like ‘GI Jane 2’.
The comedian said, “Jada, can’t wait for GI Jane 2,” referring to Demi Moore’s 1997 movie GI Jane in which Jordan O’Neil shaved her head after joining the Navy to hide away her femininity. A few years ago, Jada revealed on her talk show that she was diagnosed with alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder, for which she took the decision to shave her head.
Just after Chris cracked the joke, Will Smith stormed the stage and made headlines by slapping Chris on stage and warning him not to use his wife’s name publicly.
The incident became the talk of the town and several memes were shared on social media. Meanwhile, actor-comedian Vir Das was targetted by a troll who said that he ‘deserves to be’ slapped like Chris Rock. Vir slammed the troll by stating that if someone attempted to retaliate against him like that, he would return the slap, unlike Chris Rock.
Recently, Vir shared a picture of his disheveled hair, and wrote in the caption, “There’s mutiny the the hair.”
A Twitter user trolled Vir in the comment section and wrote, “Someone needs to do a will Smith on this one. He would totally deserve it too.” The exchange took place on Twitter on Sunday.
Someone needs to do a will Smith on this one. He would totally deserve it too
Vir came up with a hilarious reaction to the post by inviting the troll to his next show. He tweeted, “You’re welcome to buy a front row ticket and try at my next show. Just know I slap back. Also once you’ve spent that front row money, your wife will probably slap you for ruining her evening. Cheers.”

The comedian’s fans responded to Vir’s Tweet, one called it “slapstick comedy.” Another one wrote, “this is what I call ‘art of dealing with an online troll’. Very well done Vir.”
Check out some of his fans reactions:
It won’t happen vir, in the previous case both were celebrities, so guards didn’t enter the play. Here one Is ordinary citizen. Guard will perform a Thor ka hammer on him 😂 if he tried to enter the stage.
